So Far So Good!
Happy Wednesday to everyone in WA world.
We had bad thunderstorms roll through yesterday, and whenever my older cat (Chloe) is scared she runs to the dog (Lucy) and gloms on to her! My new kitty (Misha) was on my lap.
This is just a quick update on the goals I had set for myself today. I was approved for 5 afflliate ads, 3 through CJ Affiliate and 2 others independently. The CJ Affiliate site is pretty easy to use. After a couple (or more) trys I got them all done in less than 2 hours, and actually added one of them at the bottom of each post which was not my original plan but it applies to my site and is attractive. Plus they have a huge variety of products for all types of pets, not just cats, so may attract more sales, who knows.
One of the independent products I (almost) got installed, but there is an issue I couldn't figure out how to correct so I've put in a help ticket with the company and hope to hear back yet today, or at least early tomorrow before I have to go to work.
The last one has been a bugger, and I'm going to put it off for a day. I have other things that need to get done and the day is going by too fast.
I still have to insert the "affiliate" language somewhere on each page, or add a new page with the FTC guidelines that I found, but once I get that completed I will feel like I have really accomplished something today! Thanks to everyone who recently posted about adding affiliate ads, I referenced several of those (more than once) and they really helped.
I've been here just under 2 months, have a website I am passionate about and have developed many new friends and mentors...and I can make money too...what a great place!

It sounds like you are making great progress Kyle Ann! I wish we had a dog still but we have 4 kitties who are a full time job!
Usually they are very well behaved but the last few days...oh boy. Jumping on the kitchen counter to get to the window and knocking off plants into the sink this morning as I was trying to get ready for work etc. etc.

They do have their wild moments don't they! My new kitty Misha has "Nascar" time around the house just when I'm getting ready for bed. She usually settles down after about 15 minutes but she has my older cat hiding under the bed!

I would just put the affiliate disclosure in your footer or on tbe sidebar and itll be on every page. That way your not adding every page.
Thanks for the suggestion, I made a tab for the FTC rules page at the top next to the disclosure page...hope that's just as good.
