I could be wrong here Kpeitz, but in my experience, when switching domain names to another host, redirect would need to be re-set up... usually can be done quickly and easily via a control panel

How can I allow others to update my website hosted on WA without having to log onto my WA account
Allow them as a USER in your Wordpress.
I would be careful who I invite though because you will leave yourself wide open to scammers.

I am building a website for a parents association for my kids sports club. I want others on the board to have access to make changes to their portion of the website but don't want to give them access t my WA site. How do I allow them as a contributor in wordpress
You ADD them as a new user.
Click on Add New in your Dashboard (see pic).
Make sure they are only subscribers.
You give them a user name and password then they can access your Admin area.
You will have to trust them only to visit their own section(s).

I'm purchasing a business that already has a website. I will get the site as part of the purchase. They are using another host and do not use wordpress. I want to build a we
Not so sure but think you can build it on you comp offline, just you need download Kompozer or nvu - webside builders. Most popular is: http://download.cnet.com/s/kompozer.
After constraction is done you need upload - transfer you ready to go website pages by FTP - File Transfer Protocol software like FileZilla or SmartFTP, which you need download to you comp also.
Guidance you find on YouTube, How to do it.
But I will follow FSCole advice. There is no stress, untill you configure and publish you Wordpress no one will see it but save you a lot, alot of work and headache.
In my opinion ... and this is only my opinion ... you may be best to build the website you want via the site rubix here on WA get it looking just how you want and then after you close the deal you can transfer the site rubix web page to the company url via the transfer process.
Can you building a website offline without a url?

I just received that dreadful 500 Internal Server Error. I am not exactly sure what I did.
Praying I don't have to start all over.

Logged out of my account, logged back in, same problem 500 server error, wrote a ticket. I Literally wiped all my cached cookies in an effort to fix issue, no luck. Tried accessing the site through a google search, still no dice. Suppose to contact service admin, that's you guys.
What is the link? If you show us an example of what you are talking about we can have a look.
ALL of the affiliate links here will work the very first time, so this 500 error could have been triggered by an Internet connection/wi-fi issues. If WA is up and you can access WA, all of the affiliate links will be working fine.
Kyle
Thanks for responding. I checked today on my phone and the link worked just fine the first time so it must have been a temp problem. Seems to be solved now. Thanks again
I'm am getting this same error 500 and its been doing it since last night.
