Day of Celebrating!

Hello, Everyone,

I hope everyone had a great and safe 4th of July. I don't know about you, but I welcomed a day off. I spent the day with my grandbabies. When asked what they wanted to do?. They excitedly said, "Let's go fishing PaPa." So we packed up the fishing gear and went to the Lake.

My grandbabies are five years old, so after about an hour, I was hearing. "I'm tired." "I'm bored." "I'm hungry.'' Just like five-year-olds do. Mind you, we were catching fish.

So I calmly asked if we could stay just another five more minutes. Well, that five minutes turned into another hour.

I was becoming better at entertaining them to extend my time on the lake. Then out of nowhere, my grandson asked again "when are we going, PaPa"? I responded, "how bout just another five minutes"? And promptly told, "No more five more minutes PaPa!"

So, I knew I wasn't going to be able to buy any more time. I ask "if they would just sit tight" while I packed up the gear. And as I did my grandson began screaming at the top of his lungs,"I GOT ONE!" "I GOT ONE PAPA!"

After several minutes fighting this huge largemouth bass. We finally landed this monster. It weighed 6.6 lbs. I have fished all my life trying to catch a bass like the one my grandson caught. I was so proud of him. What an amazing day.
