i wanted to start this off by saying this is a very amazing and very engaging program to be a part of. i used to be a big help to my track and cross country team back in high school. now im not saying i was the best runner in any way.. but i think that just being there for my people when they needed me was more than enough to carry us through our meets. that motivation that i gave helped us get through cold nights, tough practices, and fun times overall. you need to keep this motivation through your entire time with WA. i say this because in order to be a model others want to follow, you will need to be persuasive, which sometimes means selling yourself. the bottom line is if you cant sell yourself and your knowledge, nooone will take you serious and you wont rank in google.

stop trying to be someone youre not

one of the biggest things i learned here was that i couldnt pick a niche i didnt know anything about. just because the competition of basket weaving is low, that doesnt mean you should pick that for your website if you havent even seen fruit in that basket to begin with. in addition to that dont short hand yourself either, you should pick a niche that you have had a very strong interest with. think about a time when you were an adolescence or even when you were growing up and you loved watching a cartoon show, or perhaps you were into trading cards; what often happens is that you grow out of those interests and maybe it wasnt even that you lost interest but that you didnt have time anymore because of homework, or because you picked up a starter job. think back and relive those passions that were once extinguished and you will accomplish more than you think.

once you create your niche site, make it look nice

this is sometimes overlooked and often times overthought. if your niche is about cryptocurrency and your pictures are scenic mountain views that doesnt display character within your niche. instead consider simple yet eyecatching images. a plain color background doesnt cut it anymore, you must put some thought into what youre creating, i understand its not the easiest to be creative on the spot, but thats why you must plan and try new things. explore your interest further and see through your customers eyes. ask yourself questions such as "what do my readers WANT to see?" "what would make their lives easier?" "how can this impact the community?" if you can answer all those then you will surely succeed.

dont overhype the nonrealistic

consider that once you create a great looking website with your own domain and its within your specifics, your next mission is to make money with the traffic coming in. if you think you are going to sell a 500 dollar product right off the bat with no real sources or credentials then youre sadly mistaken.. as unfortunate as that is, its quite true. think about how most people get jobs nowadays, you must make a great first impression in order to not get weaded out by the competition. the same applies when you create websites, there is another candidate out there trying to do the exact same thing as you-which is make some cashflow. so overhyping a fake idea will never help you achieve greatness. instead take things headon one thing at a time, and overtime get better at it. you will need to double it, triple it, and even quadruple it in production. stay in production mode and you will see the results you forever sought.
