Could you redirect traffic once it hits your old site? I mean from the backend since you can't change the pin's url. You should be able to set a link on whatever page that pin lands on that immediately redirects. A little wonky but...

That's on my list to try next. I've tried redirecting the entire site, but that doesn't solve the issue of Pinterest links going directly to the old photo- they don't redirect to the new photo, but to the new website. The 301 error message doesn't help me.

Yes...

That should be okay, if you change the URL, as far as I know, though I haven't used Pinterest for a while

I am using the WP Staging plugin to create a staging site for one of my websites. (I want to test the WP5 update on one of my smaller sites before I tackle the big site.) I kno

Hey Kelley,

Not sure how that plugin works but when I Google searched "WP Staging plugin tutorial" (without the quotation marks, of course) I found several offered. See screen print below for the featured post on this...

If it is a high resources user than this plugin MIGHT not work the way you want it to on the WA servers. So, should you find you are still having issues when following the tutorials, you will need to contact SiteSupport: https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/websites/support

Hope this helps you.

Thanks! I think I'll have to go to SiteSupport. I was actually following a tutorial on preparing to update to WP5 where they recommended the WP Staging plugin. I may find a workaround by just copying a couple of pages from my site onto a siterubix experiment site to test the WP5 update. I'm really excited about Gutenberg and I believe it will really help me improve my website, but there are a lot of pages and posts to be potentially messed up. (I'm using an outdated theme on that page, so there are lots of changes coming up.)

Which affiliate program does Etsy US use? Awin, ShareASale, or something entirely different? They are not clear and not helpful. I've applied to Awin and they want further info

I'm glad to provide an answer to your question.

First Awin.com is the affiliate network which acquired ShareASale.com last year. FYI, Awin is the largest network in the world.

Etsy selected Awin.com as their network on a global basis. There are separate programs for many individual countries, such as the US, Canada, UK, etc. If you sign up via Awin US or ShareASale, normally you will be offered the US program.

The email received about the decline to the program is because Etsy works only with content publishers and want content about their company to appear in the blog section of a site. While you may have quite a few page posts, it will be the number of blog posts that will be evaluated. What's most important is that you can always easily grow that number!

Let me know if anyone has any questions!

...and... correction: I was accepted to Awin. I was not accepted to Etsy.

That is exactly what happened to me

awin and they are very picky. You need a good amount of content before etsy approves you

Well, I have around 62 pages or posts, so I don't think that is a problem. I just sent them an example of my email campaigns. We'll see.

All I see listed on their advertiser directory is Etsy EU, though. I'm just worred I'm in the wrong place for what I'd like to market.

I wish you the best. I had 18 posts at the time I applied for etsy affiliate marketing and they said I didn't have enough and to reapply when I have more content.

There is a US- "Your application to join Etsy (US) (aid:6220) programme with ManCaveAccessory.com has been rejected.

The following reason has been provided:

Thank you for your application. We noticed that the blog portion of your site has limited content. We encourage you to reapply once additional content has been added to the site and wish you luck with growing your business! Thank you!

I don't recall what the exact link is but it does exist

Thank you! Crossing my fingers now. Etsy is really perfect for my site since the majority of my readers are already DIY types who want materials.

I am in the same boat, but my site is still relatively young (about a month old)

Is there a protocol for sharing links? If I read something cool on another blog, and it relates to my site and/or inspires my own post, is it fine to put a link to that blog on my

Yes do put outgoing links in your blog...Google likes to see that...It is good to help your ranking....It is seen a being helpful...I will look for content on .gov sites and link to that article if it is relevant....

Another fine example of our helping one another as WA members in discussions. Thank you KleeClay.

Just realized I didn't add what I thought after the thank you. These late nights. ^_~ Linking is good, it is a way to drive your business forward and get noticed. Am still quite a novice, but am seeing progress. I know you will too, keep on linking your content.

If you do put a link in your blog, be sure to have it open in a new tab so that they're not totally directed away from your website!

As far as I know, you can link to any blog you want. I think Google is coming out with some tool where webmasters can have the search engine not honer the backlink though. This would be in case you get a backlink from an adult site for instance, and you don't want it to count.

That's how I understand it anyway. And just like Double Tap said, make sure you have it open in a new tab, because half the time the visitor won't remember what site they were on and won't come back.
