Thank you for the replies for everyone. I was aware you get credit as the referrer if someone signs up to WA through my content.
I was surprised, though, that my content in WA has actually received clicks. Because not all my blog posts in WA are necessarily well optimized for SEO. But this makes me think maybe I should optimize them more, if even now I'm getting some clicks.
It is great to have more information as to what kind of following you are getting from WA.

I've been contacted by couple of influencers on Instagram. They are in the same niche as I am. One of them suggested me to get a shoutout from them. I said I might b
This depends upon what they want. I get a TON of 'help google rank and gain Instagram followers' spam and email spam on my accounts. Those I NEVER trust.
But if they're in the same niche I'm in, giving a shoutout if I think their Instagram content is awesome, that's okay. I've gotten shoutout's from a cat product I really liked, I tagged them with pictures of my cats playing with it, or followers who I've helped with give a shoutout to me and don't ask for one back. All my shoutouts are for a reason, but getting them is awesome. Giving shoutouts that isn't relevant or paid shoutouts isn't encouraged. It might get you some followers, but if it isn't an organic and relevant, those followers aren't going to engage. It's better to have engagement than a ton of followers that don't.
As for links, people will ask if you want to link to a specific article of theirs in one of your articles. THIS is okay as they're just bringing their article to your attention and it might be relevant to my audience, except a LOT of those requests don't understand my niche and ask me to link to a dog article when that makes no sense with my feral cat niche, they'll even mention the article they think it will improve by linking. This is a method used by Neil Patel. If someone is linking to a competitor and you think your article is better, emailing the webmaster to bring the article to their attention is okay. Paying people to link to your website is not. And one link back is okay, say you decide to share the article that links to yours on Facebook with a shoutout in thanks for including you.
But multiple organized ones? That will be fishy to Google.

Probably wise! Unless you pay for a sponsored post (which can be expensive and is perfectly legitimate because sponsored posts are marked as sponsored) than I definitely wouldn't do it. Usually people like us are the ones paid for a sponsored post by a product, not the other way around.

however, it is best to proceed with caution as shown with your question here ....
you are your own best guide .... continue to do your 'due diligence' and even then, there's no guarantees ...

I think my intuition says no to these influencers. I might have taken the offer for the shoutout, since it's quite cheap. But I'm not convinced this influencer has enough engagement, so I think I won't go for it.
Yeah, everyone thinks of themselves and their business in social media, so I'm gonna do the same.

... and back in a different day and age, business partnering is challenging enough in the offline world, making something work over longer term in the online world is a wee bit more circumspect for many people ... so you're right to be more careful with who you are working with...

Are they publicised elsewhere perhaps on youtube, do they have their own blogs, if this sounds too good to be true, probably it isn't.
People who are in a hurry usually have a foul purpose, really genuine influencers do not come by that way.

I can't seem to find the address of the incoming server of my site e-mail. I only see the e-mail outgoing server which is smtp.siterubix.com, but how about the incoming e-mail
The site support said I can't access my incoming server address, because I have redirected my e-mail to my Gmail. So I have to delete my e-mail address to see the incoming server address.

teh incoming is you sitename
if you goto your email tab in sitemanager and clcik on smtp settings it is the hostname - your sitename....

What is the e-mail incoming server?
I can't seem to find the address of the incoming server of my site e-mail. I only see the e-mail outgoing server which is smtp.siterubix.com, but how about the incoming e-mail

Why not create a folder on your PC and put the old content in there. When you create new content you can always go back there and see how you wrote before or reuse a kepword sentence or just see your progress.
I generally write my article/post on word then copy them into the website editor. this way I save my staff for further referral automatically.

I am not, but I think it depends on your niche, your personality, and what exactly the post is.
It also depends on how much of a relationship you have with your readers. If you already have a good relationship and a well-established site, I would think it would go over better.
Hi Kirsti, I personally do not have any plans to do an April's fool post. As long as it is not related to COVID-19, I can not see any problem. People are nervous at this time though.
