I read somewhere that when make a website with siterubix that its not a real website. is that true?

what is the difference with a blog and a website?

This training will help you understand the difference between a blog and a website:

A website with siterubix is definitely a real website as it can be transferred to a unique domain name of your choosing, that will then be YOUR website.

Google search your question and you will find several answers.

All blogs are websites, but not all websites are blogs.

Exactly what I said in my training: haha

A website is hosted on a server, when you blog you are blogging on the website that is hosted on a server.
I hope that helps

thanks for describing the difference.

is the first statement true? that its not a real website, not as real if you had coded it?

it is a real website, as you build it, it is hosted on a server, for example the free website you build here on the siterubix is hosted on Wealthy Affiliates servers... you build it... it is real, it just has to sit somewhere so that it can be found. So it is sitting on a server that is connected to the World Wide Web.

I know nothing about coding so I'm not sure if I answered your question or not.

If you think of it as a form of hierarchy, a website is the top of the hierarchy. You can create a Blog Post in a website, so it would stand to reason that a Blog would fall under a website so to speak.

Now in the old days when the internet came into being, there were mainly websites and no blogs. So one had to create pages, images, folders and files, these were all kept in a File Explorer or FTP Site.

From there one had to buy a domain and upload these files to a hosting company and the two worked in tandem with each other. So the files would be kept on the hosting company's server and when you edited and/or changed the content, you would have to Upload the files to the FTP Site.

Since then the Blogging Tool came into being and this was very popular because it eliminated all of the above and all you did was access a website that provided the blogging service and you started to create and write your own blog. You could then keep adding posts to it as you went along.

Hope that has helped you to understand it a bit better!

thanks alot, this definitely hit the spot. I asked this question because i was genuinely concerned and also because kyle said I should link a question back to my site. thanks alot for your help.
