Hi, I'm Kim Wolfe.

This is a story of my journey here as a Wealthy Affiliate member. I will share with you where I am currently at and where I am going...

This is my progress update. As of November 9, 2017.

So where did I start?

I joined Wealthy Affiliate (WA) on October 8, 2017. As a free member.

I started on the training, Certification Course 1, which is available to free members.

I was offered 7 days to upgrade to premium for a discounted monthly price. I continued the training for 3 days and was absolutely amazed at the content, the way the training was designed to take you through one step at a time, the support of the community and even the included hosting services provided here at WA.

I joined as a paid premium member on October 11, 2017.

I paid $19 to upgrade to premium as a monthly member, just after 3 days of utilizing WA on a free basis, which we all know has limited access.

To me, upgrading to premium and spending that $19 was a no brainer.

I knew that I wanted and needed the additional access and figured 30 days was enough time to decide if I should continue as a paid premium monthly member.

The value I saw in WA was in this one source, I had everything I needed to be successful. Rather than having a separate website hosting provider, a separate training provider and a separate support community. It's much harder to manage and connect all the dots with all that separate-ness :)

That has been solved here within Wealthy Affiliate.

How I recognized WA's Value?

Before Wealthy Affiliate, I was paying $10 - $20 per training course on Udemy. I was hungry to learn new skills. So I was already seeking more knowledge. The limitation with Udemy is they are just training courses. They don't provide any services such as website hosting. So I was learning how to create websites. But I still had to figure out how to host, where to host (this task is daunting if you just google it...) and how to connect my learnings with actions.

So the $19 WA membership was cheaper than the money I was already spending because I have training and services in one place.

And then, you add on the community here in WA, and well there is nothing like this on Udemy. Note: I'm not discrediting Udemy by any means. I still have my lifetime access to my courses and will likely still go through them at some point. They still provide value for one thing...training.

So did I launch my first online brand?

YES!

I launched my first online brand on October 11, 2017. The same day I upgraded to premium.

On my own domain name, which I had for years but didn't have a solid idea of what to do with it. That was before WA.

Wealthy Affiliate helped me solidify an idea for that domain name. Which essentially was already niche. A niche is essentially a brand. I just hadn't looked at it that way before.

And it was a very fulfilling feeling. I was not only learning about websites but even better, about internet marketing. And I was able to put my training in action, like immediately!

So how is my website doing?

Well, it's LIVE.

My website is indexed with Google. HOOYA! It didn't really take that long. This happened within a few days.

Are my pages ranked?

No, not yet.

I have 4 decent, but not all solid, pages of content on my website.

I have 7 blog posts, 2 of which I have been working on to get solid content on there. Ranging from 1200 to 2000 words.

I currently have no pictures. I currently have no visual appeal to my website.

But that is COMPLETELY OK. This is a journey, not immediate perfection.

Am I making money?

No, not yet.

But, again, that is COMPLETELY OK!

Since I'm learning, I'm not stressing myself out with the money part. I have no doubt in my mind, that if I stick to the training, follow each step, complete each task, the money part will come.

So what's next for me?

I joined as a yearly premium member, yesterday, on November 8, 2017.

Now, I have committed to 365 days to get to the money!

And, there are like a gazillion and one opportunities. The more I go through the training courses, the more I learn about more options. More ways to eventually generate income for my online brand.

I'm currently finishing up Certification Course 2. I'm about to start Course 3.

Ok, but tell me, your reader, more about your plan, Kim?!

Okay, okay.

So here's my plan.

I am taking one step at a time.

It's easy to become overwhelmed and distracted here with all of the opportunities to learn, grow and connect. The good news about this is, the opportunity is, WA provides plenty of time to continuing growing yourself and eventually helping to grow others and various options to monetize these efforts.

And it's unlikely that you and I will grow out of this community anytime soon.

What is my strategy?

My strategy is to focus on my learnings. And growing my first online brand.

My strategy is NOT to worry about being a WA affiliate at this time. I know that's another stepping stone that can be utilized later in my learning journey.

What is my focus?

With this focus, my plan is to complete the certification course and continue to build my first online brand as a business.

Once I complete that stepping stone, I'll look at other opportunities to continue growing.

Am I already successful?

Yes. The fact that I'm committed and making progress, makes me successful. Already.

So here's to your opportunities. Here's to my opportunities. Here's to our continued growth as the one and only, very supportive and powerful WA community.

Stick with it. Stay focused. And you'll efforts will pay off.

Mine are well in motion. More and more opportunities continue to be in the making!
