I know Where -Now what!?
I remember learning the very helpful "Who? What? When? Where? Why? & How?" in my English & Composition class. When I applied those questions to articulating ideas in my writing - it always helped to sort out the information in my head and got it to make more sense on paper. Similarly, when researching all the options, opportunities, pros & cons in considering & starting a home business, I think we could ask those same questions - to help make sense of what "working from home" or "home business, actual means. So, let's begin...
1. WHO? WHO can work from home? WHO shouldn't? According to Nicholas Bloom, a Economic Research Professor who posted in the 'Harvard Business Review' - Basically, most people could work from home and benefit from it; however, it is not for everyone. He noted that people with established social lives - older, married, parents - benefit most. Younger, single people and those without children tend to feel too isolated. And let's not fail to recognize that some people...even married with children, NEVER wish to work from home. They love their job! I have many friends & family who fall into that catergory and they rock!! :) ( and they likely don't have my website bookmarked! Totally fine.)
2. WHAT? WHAT is home business/working from home? Well, Wikipedia defines it as , " ..a small business that operates from the business owner's home office.'' As obvious as that may seem, it does not stress enough that it also means HARD WORK!!! Not to mention: trial & error, determination. discipline, fatique & TIME! I once read somewhere the opinion of someone concerning "working from home." It basically stated that home business was invented by lazy people, who didn't want to get a "real" job and didn't know how to work. I dare that individual to commit to home business for six months....not just sitting around but really working at something - and see if he changes his definition!

Great post and I agree with you in that working from home is definitely not for the lazy, they would never have the discipline!
