The Mindset of Starting Something New!
If you are anything like me, you will know the excitement of starting something new.
The feeling of forging that exciting path into the unknown, not knowing if you are doing the right thing but you are doing it anyway.
The Honeymoon PeriodWe call this period the honeymoon period, the period of your idea or business that is probably the most exciting.
You are full of promise, you have amazing dreams and ideas. Everything is going to be amazing and you will be successful.
Generally speaking this lasts about 3 months. This the period you come up with your name, designs, write out your plans and tell your friends about how great this will be.
But we all know this period ends and reality comes crashing in. This is when doubt starts to creep in and fear begins to take over.
To really trigger doubt all you need is some close friends or family to begin planting the seed.
It is normally friends and family that are the worst, sometimes they don't even realize what they are doing to your dreams. It is just that they are too honest.
Once you get into the nuts and bolts of your ideas it becomes a process. And generally takes a lot longer to achieve success than you originally planned.
This is when most people quit, it becomes hard work with no rewards. Every day becomes a slog and if you are not mentally prepared you will quit.
80% of businesses fail not due to skill or processes but due to the mentality of the owner. That's it! There is no secret really it is all in your head.
If your business is not growing it is generally from the mentality of management which is you!
Are you mentally ready to succeed?if you are going to last in business you need to be mentally fit.
So make sure you train, learn the skills and create the perfect mindset for success because it is a long road with hurdles and obstacles along the way.
Good luck and get mentally fit first then all you need to do is work hard and smart and success will follow.
Just don't give up!

Exactly, our minds are our worst enemy, it is what destroys so many dreams and aspirations.
The mind is old and outdated and works totally on fight and flight methods. So it needs to be trained and pointed in the right direction.
This is why you should always follow your heart when making decisions and you can never go wrong.
It's so true, the mindset is part of what makes
us move forward.
It is a kind of vertebral column for the mind!

Naturally, humans like to see growth, if we don't grow we begin to die and lose interest and start following the next shiny idea.
You need to be mentally strong to keep growing even when nothing is working.
I hope so! Today was a flat feeling day where I felt like doing nothing and mindset came to mind.
Generally, we all get flat days where we just don't feel like working on your passions, it's natural.
This is when the strength of your mind kicks in, if you aren't strong you could make some harsh decisions.

I believe that starting a business and succeeding in this venture is 70%Mindset and 30% a system.

So true Sylvia, I wonder what the statistics are on people who come and go from WA? I bet there are a lot of quitters because of how hard it really is to make money online and stick to it.
I am with you on the mindset.
I don't know how many stay and leave in Wealthy Affiliate but I know for a fact that out of 100 people only 8 people will reach their goal.
It has something to do with how you set the goals to achieve.

My world seems to be governed by threes. It takes three times longer than I think it will, it's three times harder than I think it'll be, and I'll profit about a third of what I think I will.
Knowing that up front helps keep unrealistic expectations under control.
