Where are you working on your blog from at the moment?

We are living in Hanoi Vietnam for the next 3 months working on our business trying to make it boom.

Our life is pretty cool, we sleep in until about 9 am most mornings and try to get the kids to do some school work before working a bit on the blog. As it gets closer to lunch we decide where to go for lunch and then spend the afternoon exploring the area.

At around 5 we are generally home and having a couple of afternoon beers while we work on the blog again.

Because we are a team we do different jobs, we have so much content to put out there it isn't funny. We could possible blog every hour of the day because we have so much to blog about.

That is the advantage of living the dream, you are living in your dream and every day is full of adventure and the unknown.

If I am lost for ideas I just go for a walk around the block and I will find that much odd stuff going on that will fit any blog with 1000s of words.

It is so important to get fully emersed into your niche if you are serious about it. Staying at home and doing this thing part-time just doesn't do your blog justice.

My tip to up and coming blogs out there is if you want big results you need to devote everything to your business. Over time people will see you are serious and start to see you as the authority in your chosen area which is really important for trust.

People don't do business with people they don't trust.

Live your dreams to the fullest, take action as soon as you can and don't go into things half-hearted, it just doesn't work.

We have been on the road with our 4 kids for 4 months now and love it. We have been so far 1 month in Bali, 1 month in Thailand, 1 month in Cambodia, 1 month in Thailand again in the north and now we have 3 months in Vietnam before we head to the Philippines.

Being a digital nomad is hard work, so don't think it is just a breeze, you need to stay motivated while traveling to exotic places and you need to put in hard work if want your blog to grow.

But it is the best life. To just focus on your blog and not focus on house chores or mundane tasks that don't contribute to your blog is amazing.

We wouldn't rather be anywhere else but living the dream.

Cheers.

Wow you are living a dream....of mine.
You are so right about people buying from people they trust you do need to ensure your readers believe you know what you are on about.
I'm on the west coast of the north island in New Zealand, if you havnt been here I suggest you plan to, it's beautiful.
Daisy

We would love to live in New Zealand one day, maybe in a year or so. We were thinking of doing this a couple of years ago.
We are Australian so it is an easy transition.
I will look into it when we are finished this big leg of our trip.
Thanks.

Awesome
Australia is just as beautiful.....did I just say that as a Kiwi hahahaha

Hi Kristine,

I am a fellow Aussie (ex Sydney) & am typing away from my home just out of Bangkok.

May I extend congratulations to you & husband Brian, for the incredible life experiences you have created for yourselves & your four children. I doubt they will ever need to return to a classroom. They will learn so much more with you with homeschooling & their living experiences.
Thank you for providing your website info - I have spent most of the morning enjoying the site & the information & photos provided.
(I also subscribed & will be following your adventure)
Enjoy your time in Vietnam - I loved it & have returned twice. II stayed in Hanoi on my last visit, enjoying the early morning walk
around the lake. As a keen photographer we also explored SAPA - no doubt on your itinerary to visit.

Continue having fun on your international journey.

Denis

Thanks Denis, It has been fun but really challenging at the same time. Our kids are all at different ages and need different needs. 9,7,5, and 2 consisting of boys and girls.
Getting into cabs is always a drama, getting out the door is a drama but in the end we have fun.
Vietnam is fun but we always miss Thailand, everyone is a bit more chilled out.
Thanks for the follow! Cheers.

Congrats on living the dream. I would love to live that lifestyle. But my husband would not.

*** living the dream and making those changes, takes gumption and get-go! ... most of us are way too grounded to let go of the ground to fly! .... well, we just got flooded outta of our home a few weeks ago and talk about a new life --- it's just around the corner for us ... maybe we'll just get on a freighter and float around the globe a few times -- lol ... chuckles!

.... thanks so much for sharing a wee bit of how you're living has been as digital nomads -- that's a wonderful life adventure in travel & learning ..

...all the best to you for every success, cheerio ... :) ***

Sounds like you guys need a change after that mess!
Hope you can get back to your home soon.
It does take guts but once you commit and buy tickets there is no turning back.
Like with anything the start is the hardest, from then on it becomes easier.
Don't let your self ever become too comfortable in life because you never know what will be around the corner. (As in your case, the flood!)
The secret to life is to be adaptable and flexible. Then, whatever happens, doesn't matter any more.

yes, quite right --- it's all in the balance of things and harmony with oneself ... it's all ok ... life here is one big illusion anyway .. lol ... enjoy your travels ... all the best, cheerio ... :)

I'm going to affiliate link to this post, from time to time if that is O.K. with the two of you. It is beautiful. You are living a dream that so many want to experience and then eventually, I think, share with others.

"First Class" has it's advantages.

Remain awesome..

Paul.

No worries Paul! Anyone can do it. We lost a fair bit of money in real estate the other year so we said to ourselves "No way am I going to spend the next 10-20 years struggling"
So we just sold as much stuff as we could, saved a bit more coin, then left.
It is as easy as that! The problem with most people is they won't take action. Unhappy, just change your life but don't dream about it and put it off and hope it will change for you.
Because your life will not change.
We are just a simple fun family that have the courage to just do it.
I hate the fact that Nike owns that phrase.

That is the ultimate dream, work, travel, experience, write, travel some more, experience more, do more, write more! AMAZING.

Thank you so much for sharing : )

It is but not many will take the plunge and do it because they have too many obstacles they have put in their paths.
Or we could call them excuses so that they don't have to make any difficult decisions which scare people that don't like uncertainty.

Congrats on LIVING THE DREAM.

Most of us are still stuck in DREAMING TO LIVE that lifestyle.

Blessings!

Don't dream, just change your circumstances and take action.
What we do is the easy part of life.
Doing nothing is the hardest. Anyone can sell a heap of junk, buy a plane, boat ticket and head to a faraway land and live.
You just have to want to do it more than not.
So many people think digital nomads are amazing, but all they are a regular people who decided they wanted more out of life than to be stuck in a cubical.
Life is cheaper in certain countries, so you can stay for ages and work on your passions without stress.
Get into it and book your tickets this year.

Thank you for sharing your wonderful life story with us.

I almost burst out laughing when you wrote not to focus on house chores.

Because my character is kind of a neat freak, therefore I can't focus when things are all over the place.( Yes! I cleaned the house too much)

Right now, I am creating my blog magic from my 'clean' desk at home. To energize my mind, I soon will be flying down to phuket to get new inspirations by the sea.

I believed all of us are capable of making magic no matter where we are in the world, as long as we put our heart and mind into it.

Wishing you and everyone a wonderful and great day!

Yippeee!

You can create magic from home and it is probably easier that way.
Our problem is that we are always doing something exciting, even grabbing a few beers from the shop is exciting.
But it means you are always getting new ideas for content which just means more and more work.
I know some people love house chores but as long as you love it that's ok! But if you are wasting your life year after year doing the same old house chores and are unhappy that has to change.
Remember if you mix up your life doing different things it will feel like a long life.
If you do the same thing year after year for too long you will only remember the beginning and end. Because the rest was just going through the motions.Cheers.

wow kudos with the experience you are creating with your family. I visited your web site and I love the idea of living your dream.

it's fun and serious commitment to work with kids. I salute your courage and passion

Thanks! It has been fun but still, there is a lot of frustrating times behind our closed doors.
Trying to get our youngest girls out the door can be so stressful at times.
Drives us crazy.
But apart from that, it is exciting as!
