Amazon.com should have hair loss products. Why don't you try their affiliate program? Some members of the WA community are affiliates of Amazon.

Thanks. I just went to the next lesson and yep, Amazon affiliate is right there, so that's what I am doing. Thanks for responding!

@JHaugland Once eon Site Content where do I click to see these photos you are referring to?

When you are i an article, it's the image icon just to the left of the spellcheck icon

Why not do some yourself or get a professional photographer around to do so. Could be cheaper.

if you use Site Content you will find almost any kind of photo there
Also look at Unsplash, Pixabay, Peels. If you use Wikimedia Commons make sure that the images are CC0 and if not, make sure that you credit the owner correctly.

For special images, the only thing to do is buy. I do that from time to time if I need something particular.

Oh well

Doing Course 2, Lesson 8, I made a new user, so I wanted to go under each page and change it my new user. I clicked on Quick Edit and I swear, I do not see the drop down box o

I had steps I understood, did and didn't work too. I would suggest to try refreshing If that doesn't change things then I would take a screen shot and ask site support. They can see what's going on behind the scenes of your website and can help you with your problem. It's not worth getting frustrated over. They're here to help too! I've been frustrated on things here too and WA really is here to help! Good luck! Hope this helps? :)

Thanks! For some reason when I created my user I thought for sure I had clicked Administrator but I was only a subscriber so that's why I couldn't see the Author box! Thanks! You guys are awesome!

There are a couple of ways to change 'User' function.

One way is to make sure your Author box is ticked.
Go into your Posts/Pages section and click on the help triangle (top right).
You should see the Author box to the far left.

The other way is to go into your Users section and click on the drop down triangle (see pic)
Hope alls clear.

A lot of members delete the Admin altogether and just keep the Administrator which of course is you.
Also its always better to login as you the Administrator or Owner especially when you are replying to comments.
No one wants to get a reply from Admin, do they?
You get stuck again, you ask.
Now I'm off for the night.
Maybe catch you another day.

1.
Normaly admin is the one who controls the website.
In your wp, there is an icon top right.
Clicking on that you can change the name of admin into something else.

2.
When you add a user through the dashboard of your WP, you can set rights. I recommend not to use admin rights. Just leave it.

Thanks! For some reason when I created my user I thought for sure I had clicked Administrator but I was only a subscriber so that's why I couldn't see the Author box! Thanks! You guys are awesome!

Hi Tia, do you mean that you want to change the "user" that originally added the content to your site?

I used the theme ShopStart! for my website. In the middle of the graphic, there are two lines of text that put in there for me as default text. It says "Minimalist Shopping T

It appears that the theme requires you to add a slider plugin and then you should be able to edit the text in the plugin settings.

I noticed in the documentation that the theme recommends WooCommerce plugin, which is absolutely fine.

But they also suggest activating JetPack plugin. I don't know if it is necessary. If JetPack is required, you might need to ask WA Site Support whether that is okay now because in the past they had issues with JetPack. I'm not sure but those issues might have been resolved by JetPack recently removing some of its features.

~Jude

It is most likely edited in the slider.
The slider is a separate plugin found somewhere on the menu in Wordpress.
You can check out the documentation for the theme here:
http://www.outtheboxthemes.com/documentation/shopstar/

Go to Settings > General and type in the user friendly name of your website and your own tagline.

@MarionBlack Thanks for your comments. I have been doing the courses so I didn't try to solve my website problem immediately. However, I am back and I followed what you said. I was able to change the subtitle in the title like you said. However, If you look beneath that, it still has those two lines about minimalist theme. Would you know how to make those two lines just disappear? TIA! Someone said about doing slider plug in but there are many so not sure which one.
