Hi guys, I normally try to get Keywords with SEO close to 100, however this keyword looks pretty good to me but I am unsure of the SEO is high enough.

These are the number:

AVG 6925 traffic 1178 QSR 67 Great SEO 87

Would you guys use this keyword?

What is the minimal SEO number you would work with?

Thanks in advance.

Jude

Hi Jude, keep in mind that Jaaxy numbers are only a guide. It's a great tool to qualify keywords but that should only be your first step.

The next step is to type your keywords into Google and see what comes up. This is called SERP research (search engine results page research).

You can have a QSR as low as 10 but that doesn't necessarily mean it'll be a great keyword. In many cases, it will... but you must check the SERPS.

If the first page is dominated by 5000+ word posts with multimedia and original research (a case study for example) from extremely high authority websites, even a low QSR keyword can be difficult to rank. The question in that case is not whether it's a good keyword, but rather... can you create a post that deserves to rank on the first page.

You also want to pay attention to things like engagement. If a top ranked post has dozens or even hundreds of "current" comments... that means it's highly relevant to the search query, it gets a lot of engagement, views with an above average time on page and probably a low bounce rate as well. It's not likely Google will bump it to make room for a new post.

Again, Jaaxy is amazing to qualify your keywords and can save you a ton of time. But once you have a list of potentially good keywords with competitive metrics like high AVG and low QSR, you need run that list through the next step. SERP research.

Pay attention to relevancy too. Sometimes the first page will be full of high authority websites that at first seem impossible to compete with, but when you dig into the their content you find the articles are very thin or outdated and don't answer the intent of the searcher's query sufficiently or accurately.

The QSR might be a little higher, meaning the number of articles that contain your keyword is relatively high... but the articles are not very good. You can easily create something better and more relevant.

There are lot of great opportunities that get missed because of this. Someone might choose a low QSR to go after over a higher QSR keyword but in reality... if they did their SERP research, they'd see that the higher QSR keyword is actually a lot easier to rank.

Hope that helps :-)

Personally, yes I would,
Kyle’s training suggested a QSR under 100 which this certainly is. The example has really high traffic volume with a relative low competition. Seems like a no brainer. As Dave mentioned, provided its grammatically correct..

I would also suggest you optimise the snippet, (which may bring you to the top regardless of where you are located) There are some great YT vids by the income school guys showing you how can will optimise your snippet every single time... 👍

Hi Jude.
No way!!! it means that those QSR bandits have got it all wrapped up, and everyone else gives up.
Think about it. 68, you'll never make it past page eight.
But see how you go by all means.
When it gets indexed take the full title (plus website name) and plug it into Google. See if you can find it.
I remember Kyle saying something to this effect somewhere, I don't remember. (Good on ya Kyle!)

Regards
Garry.

yeah, I normally try QSR under 40.or 50 and SEO close to 100. The traffic is just so good I was tempted to give it a go but you are probably right
Thanks for your insight.

Hi Jude
If those numbers are correct then I would definitely be using the keyword (as long as it makes grammatical sense)

Hi Dave, ok thanks Dave. I normally try a lower QSR at least under 50 and aim for SEO close to 100 but the traffic seems so good it is tempting to try 😅
