I am continually getting a request for a captcha code by Google whenever I click on the results section of the keyword tool here in WA for each keyword I want to investigate. Then when I have done it a few times, I get a message saying that Google thinks my computer is sending automated queries and won't let me continue. Why is this happening and how can I stop it? Thanks Ange

This can happen both inside the WA keyword tool and outside of it. Whenever google sees multiple, rapid search queries hitting them from the same IP address (the same computer), it puts up the captcha as a roadblock to slow things down. This also ensures that a real person and not a program is making the search requests.

Many keyword search tools route their requests through what are known as "proxy servers" to make their requests appear to be coming from different computers.

Thank you. It is rather frustrating isn't it? I wonder why WA don't do this then. I guess they are hoping that we will move across to paid membership to Jaaxy. This captcha code delay doesn't just increase the amount of time that we spend on searching for keywords, it also limits the amount of searches we can do if they turn around and disallow us from searching any further. It's a shame we can't save the search to come back to it when google lets us again. I guess I can see why Jaaxy is the preferred method for searches.

It's normal, they just do that to ensure that you are a human, not an automatic computer which searches within their site and slow them down.

Thanks, I just thought using the WA tool, that WA had a way around it. I knew it was to prevent automation, but I didn't realise it would be happening for nearly every single keyword I was trying to request information about.
