Hi. What tools are good to find your competitors keywords they are using or ranking for, free or paid?

Thanks

For competitor research, nothing beats Ahrefs, but it's quite expensive.

Unless it's a must, it's best to avoid spending so much money for now.

NB: You also get 7 days for $7 on Ahrefs so you may want to advantage of that.

From free ones, Ubersuggest is pretty neat. Just keep in mind the data is always not very consistent with reality and up to date but it gives you a pretty solid overall impression of what your competition is ranking for.

For paid ones, I guess Ahrefs is the industry standard. Moz and SEMrush are other popular ones used by SEO companies. These are all unfortunately pretty expensive.

Ahrefs offers a $7 7 day trial and SEMrush two week trial I think so you can use those effectively to look for tons of lucrative keywords. I'm going to go for the Ahrefs trial during the holidays when I have more time to use it more efficiently.

Hi Junkah

Thanks for your quick reply. Ok ubersuggest sounds ok I will give a try. Thanks for the other paid recommendations also.

Do you use jaxy or jaxy pro aswell as the paid version/s of competitors keywords tool so you have a big bunch of keywords 🤔 or do you use one or the other?

I use the jaaxy lite version thats included in my premium subscription for general kw research but not really for reverse engineering competition. I should look what the pro version offers on that front though.
