My site is called 'Man Finds Meaning' because my primary interest is in finding meaning as a modern man.

I guess it's in the 'personal development for men' niche.

I plan to write articles about the SYMPTOMS of lacking meaning in life, such as boredom and burnout with your career; anger, addiction, and midlife crisis.

Affiliate links will be around personal growth in the areas of 'health, wealth and self' (there are countless courses and books I can recommend from my own experience).

But I just don't know if this idea is too 'wooly'.
(I.e. Does anyone get it, or am I being too esoteric?)

I'd love any feedback on this, as I've been stalled on it for several weeks now.

Many thanks, Mike.

Personal Development is a great niche. You have narrow it down a notch by choosing "Men."

"Finding Meaning and/or Purpose" would be the second narrow filter and I think that is good enough.

You would have lots to write and your audience can identify with your niche.

Hi Mike! It's a great niche! You can narrow it down to men and with a particular issue - depression, road rage, maybe. Anyway, there many things to talk about issues of life. Follow your passion my friend, whatever it is!

Any niche is a good one if you are passionate about it and it can help others. I concur with Janelle, men are too proud to ask for help most times. I would target women also.

I think that Kyle is right when he says that any niche can make money, and I think that this one is no exception.

You have your own experience to draw upon, which will help show that you're an authority, and you know quality products to promote that will help your audience. So I say go for it!

When you find keywords and write your content, keep your target audience in mind and provide the resources and help they're looking for, and you should do great.

Just my 2 cents--I think women are more likely than men to search for self help resources. So maybe you could also tailor some of your posts to women who may be looking for help for their husband, brother, father, etc.

Good luck!

Thank you Janelle I really appreciate you taking the time to help me out.

Your suggestion about writing for women has just opened my eyes actually.

I've been thinking that by focussing on men I might be missing a trick, but you're absolutely right. I think there's a niche in there too for women who are looking to understand/help the men in their lives.

I agree, Janelle! Prime example, how many times will men stop to ask for directions?
