When I look for particular world in Google, I see on the top of first page that gives my over 21 000 000 results pro 0,51 sec. This amount is for websites or pages or something else?

Another way is to use the WA keyword tool, enter the keywords, when you get the results, click on competition "View result"

Hi Nemira!

As suggested here, put your keyword "in double quotes" and search for it in Google. The number that turns up on the first page isn't the one you want though - you need to go to the last page of the search results to see how many competitors you really have.

For example, if my keyword is "plank exercise", I would put that phrase in Google just as you see it above, in double quotes. Google tells me that there are about 172,000 results - but if I go to the bottom of the page and click on page 10 of the search results, then go to page 14, then to page 18, etc., I'd find that the search results end on page 30, and that there are only 284 results returned.

That's the number of competitors you'd have. You should also look at the first page of the search results for your keyword. Even if there's only a little competition, you don't want to try to do battle with a giant, established web site.

Hope this helps!

Do you mean that it can be this my asked amount? So many websites?

Not actually websites but pages.Particular website can and do have multiple pages with your keywords in it.

Without quotes Google is also displaying various derivatives of your phrase. Hence the magnitude of the result.
