Hi Wamily, happy Sunday, I hope you are all well and safe.

I was just wondering of anybody have a suggestion to get more acurate reading for time on page on Google analytics.

I have just updated the code and have tried a scripte behind the tag to reslove the issue of a lot of 0 time spend on page issue, as I am confidant this readings are not accurate.

I even have people visiting several pages and clicking affiliate links and time on page often tells me 0 or 1 or 2 seconds is time on page.

Any suggestionis for more accurate reading (which are not to technical to apply, are appreciated.

Jude

Hey Jude,

It is known as bounce rate, and Jay's webinar replay may be able to offer you a solution: Also... type in "bounce" (without the quotation marks, of course) into the WA search textbox at the top of this page, and check through the other tutorials there, as they too may offer you a solution if Jay's webinar doesn't.

Hope you find this helpful.

Thanks, Trish, I will try your suggestion. I have been searching the net for this issue and learned this is a common issue, and I tried to add a script that supposes to help with this issue, but no luck yet.
I will try out Jays training to see of this offer a solution, thanks for stopping by; I hope you are well.

When logging into my Google account, I found an email from Google suggesting to me to add their NEW Tracking ID to all of my websites.

They claim the new tracking provides us with better stats. Perhaps your issue not being the only one has force Google to redesign their Tracking... maybe?

Have you received such an email from Google with subject line of Upgrade to Google's latest tagging solution for your site?

If so... following the instructions to replace your Tracking ID may resolve this issue for you.

Yes, Trish, this is what I have done. I already had issues with inaccurate reading, so I was keen to add the new tag hoping to get better results. Unfortunately, it still doesn't function very well, and it doesn't seem to record time spend on-page. I contacted site support to check of the tag was inserted correctly, and that was done correctly. Hopefully, Jay, his training will shine dome light on it. I have found many people with the same issues, but no solution found just yet.
Have a great day.
Ps, it just seems inconsistent as previously it sometimes did record times spen on page, but many days it seens like it doesn't record.

Hello Sister,
Wish I had something knowledgable to add, especially as I am in pole position, sadly I will have to wait until someone who knows about these things writes a response.

Hope all is well with you, we are in the midst of a truly miserable wet and windy autumn day...😔 pretty typical day for the uk....😳

Hiya, well I am happy to see your face, thank you for stopping by.
Good luck with the English rain😅, we are moving to the hotter weather here as spring makes her presence. (Saying that, we have the whole sun year-round, very lucky indeed 💜☺)
I hope I will find some answer sometime soon.
