I remember Kyle saying that it should be a good idea to have a domain with your name on it, but what content/niche are you glomg to pick if the domain is your name/middle name and your last name? How do you manage that?

Hi Stephanie.
Using your name as the domain name is a great idea if you are building your business around the concept of you personally and promoting your own expertise within a niche.
A lot of the big gurus do this but it’s perfectly reasonable for us little people to do it too.
Chris Ducker is a big advocate for doing it. Search for Youpreneur and you can see more about how he describes doing this.
Hope that helps.
Have a great day 😀

You can use your name for your affiliate business. There does not have to be a logical connection. Take Google, Amazon, Apple etc.

However, you will be using your blog post to build your brand from scratch. Put your name into Jaaxy and see whst happens!

I bought a domain name with my name. It’s in reserve to use later. I paid $15 for it three years ago. If I forgot to renew it I’d have to pay $500 to own it today. Just think about that.

All the best to you.

I think the idea behind having a domain that is your name is that you can use it as a base for your own personal brand, so really you could use it for any niche. Kind of like how Oprah has a magazine named after herself. Of course, if your name isn't already an established "brand" then it won't be as obvious to people what your site is about just from the domain.

Interesting take! Though, does that mean that I’ll have to have my own products or is affiliating still okay?

Are you talking about a WA affiliate marketing niche? I haven't done the bootcamp training yet, but on my website I just used my first name @ my website name. like this :charlotte@mysoutherngospelusa.com.

I was talking more about...example “stephaniemiddlenameandmaybelastname. com” like your full name and just that, not adding any niche.

I already have domains like that, I bought them up, but to be an affiliate I think I would say jeffreybrownproductreviews or something like that--maybe a more specific product group or something.

Good question! I've been wondering that myself, and the answer I've come up with so far is pretty personal. For example, the domain name I have is "www.gabrielmohr.com," and I've thought about adding a section where only people named Gabriel Mohr can add posts and pictures just for the laughs. I've also considered transforming it into a WA promoting website. But, it's all up to you :)

Well thank you :). You could also use it as a sort of online journal. Now that I think about it, I might do that. Lol. That'll be interesting.
