Do you use more than one keyword tool?

I think when starting out, it is important to focus on one keyword tool as relying on several tools for your data can end up wasting a ton of time which will prevent you from building solid content on your site.

Mostly Jaaxy, but I won't renew it this time, I have found the WA keyword tool is sufficient for most cases. Of course, Jaaxy is much more comprehensive loaded with awesome features.

True that. Good luck!

I use WA keyword, I use auto complete and suggested keywords in google (because shows recent trending keywords) and I use something called question samurai which shows keywords in the form of questions.
Reply
GautamWorld Premium
Hey, I did know about 'question samurai.' I will check now. :)

What do you use Gautam? What do you recommend? Cheers! Dave : )
Reply
GautamWorld Premium
Hi Dave,
I'm afraid my focus has shifted a bit, and I am less into affiliate marketing now. I need to use a few tools, and it can get a bit expensive.
It would be inappropriate here if I recommend a particular tool. And of course, some tools are better than others for a given purpose.

Thanks for your understanding. :)

I use multiple tools.
(1) WA Keyword Tool
(2) Google Trends
(3) Google Keyword Planner (volumes and trends)

You can also use Search Analytics in Google Search Console (for websites that are already running....Google tells you what keywords it ranks you for).

I use multiple tools. On average 5 throughout my KW research process
Reply
GautamWorld Premium
I can imagine because of the nature of your work. Thank you very much for being kind and sharing.

You spend at least $500 a month for the tools?
Reply
BeauAndNik Premium
I purchase most of my tools for lifetime. For keyword tools I think I spend around $200 per month. These tools aren't just for kw research but also competition analysis and tracking
Reply
GautamWorld Premium
I can understand you use different tools for backlinks, rank tracking, and the like.
Apologies if I made you uncomfortable.

Thanks again!

I primarily use WA keyword tool. I use Google Adwords to generate others and the use the WA to check them out.

GautamWorld Premium
Excellent plan. Most here are using only the Wealthy Affiliate keyword tool, which serves the purpose here.
Cheers.

I'm new to this, but I have found the WA keyword tool sufficient for myself. I may try a Jaaxy membership after I start to generate some cash flow.
Reply
GautamWorld Premium
That makes sense. Best to stick to one for a start. :)

Currently the wa keyword tool. I've downloaded a few keyword search apps onto my phone, but they offer very limited results and searches without purchasing an upgrade.
Reply
GautamWorld Premium
Mind sharing the apps you tried? Thank you very much for sharing.

I had
Keyword Tool SEO Research and Website...
SEO Tools - website check and keyword...
Keyword Research Tool

If you search keyword tool in your phone's App Store you'll find plenty. The above were all iPhone apps, no doubt google play would be similar. All good until you use up the free searches, but not too expensive to unlock and would be good if you need keywords on the go. Do let us know if you find any good ones! Personally I'm leaning towards paying for the jaaxy membership.

Jaxxy and WA keyword tool (which are basically the same thing).

Otherwise just typing in potential keywords into google to see what suggestions it comes up with, to then put back into Jaxxy and the keyword tool.

I only use the paid version of Jaaxy.
Reply
angela-ilma Premium
I've been considering upgrading to the paid version. Is it worth it in your opinion? I still have a dozen free searches, I'm scared to use them because I don't want to run out, so have defaulted back to using the wa keyword tool.
Reply
SondraM Premium
I've been meaning to write a review on Jaaxy. I've had paid version since January or early Feb. Yes it is worth it. I used it multiple times each day. I enjoy doing keyword research and Jaaxy makes it so easy and fast. Plus, I can see how my posts are ranking by the key word. (Warning, those results are very humbling and sobering when you have a newer website though.).

I'd probably be more upset if I lost Jaaxy than WA although I have to have WA since I host my sites on it. Don't get me wrong, I love WA.
