Hi WA Family,

Do you consider a Voice Search optimization to support your keywords find in your content creation routine?

I know nowadays with the technology advancement and how people search for information online, people can just ask Alexa, Siri, etc. The AI (Artificial Technology) gets more sophisticated and close to accurate too. I think it's interesting and intriguing.

I understand that we need to use keywords that grammatically make sense for our content on our website. With voice search, sometimes people don't pay attention to their grammar.

Here is a good read that I found today:

What is Voice Search? Why is it Important?

Voice search is a technology that allows you to say a voice command to access information on Google and other search engines. Companies like Amazon, Apple, and Microsoft created voice technologies and aliases like Siri and Alexa to be your sidekick that helps you find information on the web. - Source: https://blog.marketo.com/2020/01/seo-voice-search-optimizing...

Thank you in advance for your input. I appreciate it.

Have a great week.

Thank you, Trevor. :)

I just read your profile description. It's great that you're a former diplomat.
I almost became a diplomat in 2009 but I failed the last test. I was just a fresh graduate back then and was very green. At least I got to pass the province or state selection test and moved on to the regional selection state. It was a great experience. :) My friend got the job. I got the lesson learned he he...

Thank you so much for the encouragement, Trevor.🙏
You're right about the freedom. I figured it out.

In 2010 I got to represent my province for Australia and Indonesia Youth Exchange Program. A temporary diplomat hehe...
Then 2013/2014 I got a scholarship to attend college in the U.S.
I won't meet my husband if I got that job and probably still unmarried (I can't marry a foreigner either).😅

Hi Ferra,

This is an interesting question.

Personal assistant devices like Alexa, etc, voice match your words to the appropriate informational ontology to formulate the best answer. This process differs from typed internet browser searches, which typically have more direct access to the information published on other websites. However, with advances in AI, both types of queries are actually crossing over in commonality.

It would be interesting to know how much access Jaaxy has to the digital assistant data. Look under the Jaaxy brainstorming section and you will see a column for what's trending in "Alexa Topics".

Great question!

Hi Frank,

That's interesting to know, Frank if Jaaxy also includes the digital assistant data. Yes, I like to check out the brainstorming part on JAaxy and the Alphabet soup as well. :)

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I really appreciate it! :)

Have a great week.

You're welcome, Ferra.

I worked on a project similar to your inquiry when I was getting my masters in health care informatics back in 2015. I'm sure it has come a long way since then. Very interesting stuff indeed :-)

Hello, Ferra.

The voice system, is already in use on Telephone Switchboards, Cellphones and even remote controls.

One of the disadvantages of these devices is that everyone around you will know what are you doing, where are you calling and with whom you are talking. Sometimes when calling banks, pharmacies, etc., the person talks smoothly, and feedback is "I'm sorry, I do not understand what you just say...for English, say English, "Para Español, diga Español" and then begin to repeat the whole menu.

Another disavantage is that people will....wil...will forget to speak with people. People tend more to SMS and to speak with a device, not people. Those devices lack of TLC.

I read the article and the first paragraph of the conclusion and it supports what I think:

"Moving forward, voice search dramatically impacts the future of SEO and digital marketing as a whole. As artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms become even more accurate and advanced, the ability for voice search to upgrade the marketing space will continue to increase.". In few years to come, human being will become "worthless" (I would write a lot more, but I stop here)

Hi Luis,

Yes, you're right. People already used the voice search for years now. Google Voice was introduced in 2009. And many more voice search devices are going to be created like Alexa, Siri, etc.

Regarding people's behavior in relying on the voice search, it has been talked about a lot not only it will impact us as an adult, it is also impacting young generations. People start to lose their social skills ability. And the pandemic does not help either. It only supports these talk to devices habits due to the social distancing, etc.

I am curious to learn how the voice search can be optimized and help us to improve our page ranking when we also use keywords that those voice search users use. :)

Thank you for sharing your insights.

Have a great week.

Hello, Ferra, I am going to attempt to answer this question to the best of my ability.

We use keywords when Siri or Alexa get a question, which is usually a direct question like "Siri what is the best website hosting platform?" Siri will take the keywords from your post "best website hosting" and plug it into the search for the question.

Using 3-4 keywords is beneficial. Adding to that will also help. Like who, what, when why, and where.

So when you choose your keywords the voice search looks for those keywords and uses your post.

Make sure your keywords are the URL of your post and the added extra phrases are not. This is in most cases. But this may change soon.

Also, make sure your title is not longer than 60 characters because google does not recognize more than that.

Google has incorporated the voice search and uses our keywords to give the best results.

I do believe this is the way it is. I may stand corrected by someone with more experience.

That's interesting, Laura.

Thank you for your detailed explanations. I really appreciate it! :)

Yes, I tend to use the WH questions in my content. It would be great when in the future my content gets featured snippet in Google.
