You may find this question a little bit outlandish, but am serious. Do people from USA really buy diapers online?

The reason I asked, is because, it amazed me to see a lot of people here in Wealthy Affiliate aim to sell just about anything. From hard to find drones, to diapers!?!

I find this weird because, I live here in the Philippines where the next neighbor owns a "mom and pop store" (we call them here "sari-sari store") where people can easily buy goods like diapers. And if they opt to buy them online, a diaper would cost them like a hundred dollar including shipping cost. So, buying diapers on the Internet here isn't practical.

But I wonder what is the case in advanced countries like the USA, where the next grocery store is miles away from their homes. I have never been in to the USA so I am not really sure if that's the reality in there, but a relative living in California told me that.

If that's true, then e-commerce like selling diapers online (picking diapers as your niche), can really be a good thing.

So, anyone? Anyone here who can enlighten me about this? Because, unless someone tell me IT IS, then my mind would just settle to selling only "hard to find items offline" online.

Anyone?

Free shipping, auto-ship, and savings without coupons make for great deals. Plus for a busy mom it's great to have a box delivered to your door in any weather! Rural smaller stores are more pricy compared to more populated areas. Ordering online is a huge time saver too.

Yes it is true Gomer! They buy diapers, formula and all sorts of things! I find that the reason a lot of times is Bulk! They can buy in bulk cheaper than what they can go to store and get it! There is a plus side to this though! As long as there are people buying these things online there is commissions to be made right! Have a great weekend my friend!

In the Netherlands, older people who are incontinent, are often ashamed of it, and they do rather buy diapers anonymously online than go to a nearby store where people will recognise them.

Thanks, Loes, for that additional information. So, it means, it is not only good at "keyword research figures" and "theories", but really translate into actual sales or e-commerce.

In the US you can buy diapers online using a diaper service via Amazon or another service and have your monthly supply of diapers delivered right to your door right when you need them. Pricing all depends on how many diapers you will use which impacts how many you need. It's crazy you can buy just about anything online and have it delivered to your door even if you live right next to a store that sells it. Some people don't like to go through the time and hassle it takes to go into certain stores and just opt to have things delivered to their homes. You can do the same with groceries, too, and many other things. A lot of times, too, it can actually be cheaper to buy online as places like Amazon offer good discounts and free shipping. So, yeah, people really do buy diapers online! Lol

I see. Thanks for taking the time answer/explaining. Now, the article that I read about evergreen niche topics makes sense. It takes one JasmineU to have me appreciate/accept the idea. I thought, I should only go for items that are hard to find in physical stores (selling only rare items, on the Internet). Now, I finally know that even common needs like diapers can be sold online.

Thanks a lot! :)
