What are the advantages or disadvantages of using a keyword theme running through your website? So post titles being structured as:
Keyword phrase + A
Keyword phrase + B
Keyword phrase + C etc
… the content different for each post but related to keyword
Would search engines rank this well and like or dislike the repetition of similar titles?
Any advice appreciated.
Thanks

Hi Tracy,
That is not a good idea to do that. It is called keyword cannibalism and it will most f definitely hurt 2 of the 3 blogs in your example.
Keyword cannibalization is when you create various blog posts or articles on your website that can rank under the same search query in the search engines. Keyword cannibalism is caused by one of the following situations:
The topic each blog covers is too similar to other blogs you have written or plan to write.
You optimized multiple blogs for the same keyword/keyphrase.
Regardless you should try to avoid this because basically, the search engine will pick which of the 3 blogs is the best, and only rank it well and not the others.
In other words, all 3 blogs will be competing for the same keyword. Additionally, that is not good because you want each blog you write to be ranked under different keywords therefore more blogs spread out over the spectrum of your niche (resulting in more traffic).

Hi Tracy, I think Calvinator has explained this quite well.
This is what I get in my posts when I know I have used the keyword an appropriate amount of times.
Focus Keyword appears in the first 10% of the content. 5264 words. Good job!
Focus Keyword appears in the first 10% of the content
Content is 1453 words long. Good job!
Keyword should be used only 10% per your word count.
Best wishes,
Michael
