I am on the verge of purchasing a domain to create the brand for my initial niche but after doing some keyword research other areas have come up related to my original niche. They are in the same ballpark and would ultimately link to the same products.

For example if my main niche was travel guides for New York would I also be right to focus on keywords like 'The best time to visit New York' if it has great results in Jaaxy? Is the idea to use related keywords in order to bring in traffic to ultimately target the original niche?

Thanks in advance

Keith

It's definitely possible. As long as they are related then I see no problem adding keywords like the one you put up there in. In fact, that actually makes sense with your niche, so that those that come to New York have the best experience possible.

Good luck!

Yes, that's possible.

A niche means a focused small segment of the market. As you go along, it might be expanded to cover other areas or products but still related to the original one.

As long as it is related, it should be okay (in my opinion).

Thank you for the advice. So start focused and as the site grows expand a little?

You got it right, Keith.

A niche is dynamic not static. However, you want to focus on your on specific area / product first and as your site grows and you start getting traffic, then you might consider to expand it gradually.

All the best.

Maybe so, but the niches should relate somewhat, for useful content..maybe tying them together somehow, selling related products.

Okay, so as long as the niches lead to the same/similar products?
