Hello,
So I am about 12 days in on my site. Everything on the 'site health' page says I am doing well, 100% IN ALL CATEGORIES except for "Trust", which I understand.
Do you really expect your site to get good rankings after being 12 days old and probably having a very minimal amount of content?
While it would be nice if it worked that way, unfortunately it rarely does.
Why would Google give any authority to a site that is less than two weeks old?
The first month or so is going to be your transitional period where you are going to get almost no love from the search engines, it's still possible to get rankings during this time but it is much harder.
I see like maybe I don't know 10 pieces of content on your website, 15 at the most.
You should be shooting for at least 30-40 pieces of content and giving your site at least a minimum of 2 months to mature a little bit before you become concerned that you are not receiving any rankings.
Your content is very well written, formatted nicely, and you make great use of images, so I do not think there anything wrong with the quality of what you are publishing, you just need to give it enough time.
I don't know the rules, that's why I am asking. I just wanted to see ONE article or post in the top 10 pages at least. I had some ranking, but now it's zero across the board.
I'm not asking for front page, just a A page, so I know that what I am doing, I should keep doing.
If it's about site age, then that is ulimately something I have to get past
Your rankings are going to fluctuate drastically within your first few months, you may have some that show up with high-rankings, and then they drop off the radar within a couple days. You may have some that are never ranking, and then you find them on page 3, and within days they are gone again.
This is something that all new websites go through and eventually everything will balance itself out.
Did you or do you go through a period where it seemed writing content was pointless since it doesn't show up? How do I approach that and just write?
You just gotta keep writing, targeting keywords with a decent amount of traffic and low competition, which it sounds you already have a good handle on.
Keep doing what you are doing, I glanced over an article of yours and what I saw was pretty good, high quality and about the right length.
Yeah everybody goes through those periods, and trust me we all know it is hard putting in that amount of effort and not knowing whether or not it is going to pay off in the end.
I can tell you right now that it doesn't matter what niche you choose, websites will always go through this same thing that yours is going through right now, it's just the way it is.
Keep writing and when those rankings do start to come that will inspire you to keep moving forward.
I would suggest to keep writing content, perhaps your trust will go up which should help with rank
No the website trust that you see here at Wealthy Affiliate has NOTHING to do with your search-engine rankings. All it is is a gauge to tell you basically how long your website has been active for. It will usually increase about 10% each month.
Yes your website being active for longer periods of time does have an impact but more than anything your need to keep writing content.

Why am I not ranked on google? need advice.
Hello,
So I am about 12 days in on my site. Everything on the 'site health' page says I am doing well, 100% IN ALL CATEGORIES except for "Trust", which I understand.
Google has a thing called a 'sandbox' - pretty much all new sites stay in it until they're a few months old. During this time you wont see any high rankings. Google is making sure that you are going to stick with the site as it doesn't want to rank a site that may well disappear after a couple of months.
Patience is a virtue. For the moment just keep on growing the site and steadily adding good content.

So one of the great things about WA is the pay it forward thing with comments. Since Google looks at this as a metric, it seems a MUST.
But what about marketers that have
Hello,
By using this link: https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/websites/comments
But this is a give and take concept: you have to give comments to be able to receive comments...
Grtz,
Bert
I'm aware of that. I was asking HOW do people, that don't have a site like WA to help, get comments on their own?
Okay, now I understand your question... But I first have to say: you asked "what" and not "how" (does not make a difference actually ;-) ). And to be honest, I thought the lone marketers were more of a practical joke... But I did some effort to give you a good response now: there are sites like these http://viafoura.com/ ?gclid=CJTI4qL8ickCFQvhGwod5rsABw (I had to put a space between / and ?) & articles like these http://boostblogtraffic.com/more-comments/ .
But also like you said: when you leave WA with confidence and you have build a real business then the comments will always come to you like water to the sea, because you have a ,whole bunch of fixed visitors and they are waiting on a new post to check and to comment...
But if you want to start from scratch and do it all by yourself, then I think you are really a lone marketer and it will be very difficult to reach your goal...
I hope you liked my answer this time a little bit better...
Grtz,
Bert

So I know my site is new (5 days) but I recently checked analytics and it looks as if Google is just flatout ignoring me.
I'm getting zero organic traffic, zero from sear
It usually takes 7-14 days to get your site initially indexed in Google (sometimes quicker). That is completely normal.
As you build out your website content and as you get engagement on your website, it will only continue to get indexed quicker. Google will continue to grant you more and more authority as they deem your website to be of value and before long you will see your new content getting indexed almost instantly.
Just part of the process and you are absolutely heading in the right direction. :)
Apologies. I have too many irons in the fire in life right now.
Losing my senses a little and trying to hard. And I had way too much coffee. I'll relax.
Moving on.
If you are sandboxed and you don't write any more content you will just confirm to Google that this is a thin site and not worth ranking.
Content marketing is a long game it sounds like you are looking for something different altogether?
I'd say keep posting and trying various keywords and such. 5 days is avery short time, there's so many new websites Google couldn't rank all 5 day old sites highly. keep going and experimenting, giving up and not posting anymore is definitely the fastest way to get put even lower on the radar!
And just to add. I used to flip domains, I'm a Powerseller on Ebay, an Amazon Seller, and I've owned blogs. I'm not some newbie with no clue how this goes. I at least expected something.
Hi, 5 days ? you have to be patient, mine took weeks, some it takes longer, Keep focus on your lesson and let them do their thing, you cant hurry love / or google so you just have to wait ( sorry don't know why but that song popped into my head) anyway if you want this to work you have to keep pushing ahead and not give up - five days is a drop in the bucket ....
I haven't worked and studied this hard on something, and NOT get paid, in my life. I haven't even showered for 5 days because between this and my life, I'm trying to really soak this in.
Yeah, I'm a little obsessed right now but I at least need to see SOMETHING. I'm gonna eject from this site and all this marketing stuff. I've had too much coffee and I'm tired of begging for Google to smile down on me while I write like a monkey and checking analytics for unique viewers and realizing they're all coming from WA and my own edits on WP
Awesome! That's so productive!
This is all quite normal. After initial ranking usually pages sink somewhere deep. See more here: Fluctuations in Google ranking So do not worry, your site is new, give it a few months time.
I really appreciate the answer, but I simply don't have months to see if something is wrong or not. I know I sound impatient but I remember getting mere blogs to Google's front in a week, years ago.
The task is harder now. I don't have the time for all this, and to become a Webmaster in the process WHILE writing content based around keywords, that nobody will see.
I'm on course 3 Lesson 4 and there is ZERO help with this issue.
Affiliate links? When I can't even get a ranking or indexing for pages that have no errors?
Not gonna do it. I'm tired. I knew this was a swim up stream industry, but I didn't listen to my instincts.
I guess back to selling on Amazon. Can't see a reason to put any effort here. And I thought I was doing well because I'm a delusional child in some respects.
Live and learn
Your pages are indexed as you say, so all is fine. I told you that you speak about ranking too soon. I can only repeat, give it a few months, just my thinking.
And I hear you, but who in their right mind would work on something for months with no benefit, just to SEE if they have something.
I'd do better in Vegas...literally
I'm not having 'fluctuations". I'm being ignored by G.
Like I have the plague. I would take fluctuations any day
And I'm not going to write ONE MORE article until I know Google even sees me. So I'm done. And right now I'm on affiliate training?
LOL yeah, I'll just go ahead and promote products on my dead site.
Hahaha, I gotta run, thanks for the talk but this is bogus
But what if fluctuation has characteristic time of one or two months? Your site is one week old, so what can you really expect.
You are just taking fluctuation. Perhaps your pages will never resurface, but perhaps they will, you do not know. You will know in time.
Hey,
How is it going?
Is your site still sandboxed?
Did you quit? :)
It seems that my site is indexed but also sandboxed....
Gotta weight for few months that would seem like forever.
For the mean time, I'll continue building it.

I click to review sites, because after all it is required for "site health". But I keep getting the same sites over and over. Sites that I have no interest in reviewing and qui
I discovered, that if you click ALL the boxes on settings, for some reason, the system gives you a better variety and chooses more niches close to YOUR liking.
Sounds backwards, but it worked for me. I engaged way more on it after that
This is how the system is designed. Just leave it and come later, that is what I do when I get only penis enlargement post on the menu, or issues of erection at the age of 20, or breast feeding effects on baby health, or...
It is definitely a solution, but Sharon was also complaining about this yesterday... I don't feel like commenting on WA anymore And I think Kyle said something they were working on something new...

Bear with me. I was once very good at Wordpress but I forgot about posting to pages. We were told to create pages, but any POST defaults to front page. I watched how to create
Understandably so..... I felt the exact same way when I began..... So, I wrote a blog post on the topic. I hope it helps enlighten you a bit. Permalinks, Slugs, Pages or Posts? Also, I would recommend this tutorial on Blog Roll or Static Homepage: Changing To A Static Home Page and Why
