Ranking For Other Keywords

I found out about something quite funny just recently. I know that having long-tail keywords help your posts get ranked and Kyle talked about things like how words within your post your post could rank as well.

I just never expected it to happen this way...

So what happened was that on my badminton site, I have a review of badminton strings known as the Yonex BG66 Ultimax. In the post, I unintentionally (in terms of SEO) wrote how playing with the string was brilliant.

And what happens next?

The badminton company Yonex announces a preview of their new string, the Yonex BG66 Brilliant. Now Yonex nor any shops are selling this string yet and nobody has any review on the string. But because of that one sentence in my post, my review of the Yonex BG66 Ultimax is sitting at the number two position for the keyword, "bg66 brilliant."

No wonder I got around 100 people to my article in one day and no Amazon sales or clicks on that product. They weren't looking for a review of the Yonex BG66 Ultimax anyways!

Just something small I wanted to share.

Sounds like you want to do a Brilliant review as soon as possible?

Best wishes and thank you for sharing the story.

Yep, as soon as that string comes out, I'm going to get it and give it a review for as early ranking as possible :)
