What Is Your "WHY?"
I read on the goals section here a lot about people wanting to make $500 monthly, $3000 monthly, $10,000 monthly or even $1,000,000 yearly etc but quite a number of times there is no explanation as to why they would want to achieve this or what this would do for them once achieved.
I suppose I am asking what is your "WHY?"
What would it do to your life if you reached your goals in terms of financial success?
I believe it is important to know exactly why you want to start an online business. This will in effect be the driving force behind the commitment required to achieve your goals.
If you have a strong "WHY" then the more likelihood that you will stick at starting and building your business. Most people quit before they even really get started or just before they taste success so knowing why you want to start an online business is key.
Some people's "WHY" might be to quit their jobs, pay the mortgage or rent, or pay school fees, debts, put food on the table or provide a good income for the later stages of their lives. For others it may be to become very wealthy.
Once again, knowing exactly what is going to keep you motivated through challenges which undoubtedly will come your way when building an online business is a big deciding factor as to whether you will reach and surpass your goals.
I was involved in a well known MLM company and a wealthy President's team member gave an inspiring speech at a seminar. He said "what would you do when you have reached your goals, when you have made all the money you set out to make...what next?"
He became a multi-millionaire and his goal was to give back to his community and set up a charity. He did this and more.
Achieving your goals comes back to "WHY" you got started in the first place. What was the motivating factor?
What is your "WHY" and what will you do when you have achieved your goals?

Good question. My 'why' is so that I can 'buy time'. Time to spend with the people I love, hosting party's and get togethers for the people I love, and financially helping out the people I love!
Thank you Loretta. That's a strong "Why" and reason for keeping focused on your online business. Wishing you great success.
Kevin I would like to add that I always wanted to start an online business and work from home, and it's important to me that I do what I love :) my hope is that I can make a substantial income from it
Great post! I agree with you that the why is important! I set my goals with the mindset that I want to work from home alone, be able to give a certain percentage as the Lord leads, & be able to enjoy doing the things I have always wanted to do and never been able to! :) Christa
That's a really good question Kevin, and it puts me in mind of the hundreds or thousands of lottery winners who end up spending everything in a year or so and end up exactly where they were before they won. They didn't have a 'why' or a concrete plan as to what they would do if they won. I'm happy I have got my Why worked out. Simon
Please to hear you have your "Why" worked out Simon. Wishing you great success here at WA and your online journey.
