I subscribe to quite a number of online marketer's email lists and I must admit I do chuckle at what some of them say. Trying to get me to buy this, or join that.

In truth, ultimately that is the main aim for most marketers in the "make money online" niche.

They provide a free offer on the front-end so that you submit your name and email address. This way they can then follow up with emails about products and services they promote.

Email marketing is a very clever marketing strategy and most if not all the top companies do it too.

One online marketer I have subscribed to for a number of years has really nailed down email marketing to an art form.

He sends out at least 2 emails every day (including weekends) and the structure and content is outstanding.

The way the emails are written brand him in such a way that you kind of feel he is your best mate. :)

I actually look forward to receiving his emails, not so much as to what to buy or join but of the structure, content and branding of those emails.

He has done extremely well lately in promoting his businesses and has become a multi-millionaire promoting online businesses which some of us here at WA have been a apart of or came from and may not think too highly of them.

My point though is not to knock those businesses but to look at how email marketing and branding can work to build a successful business here at WA.

Getting targeted leads is hard work. In fact, you have to work smart. This niche is highly competitive so your own personal branding is very important.

What is going to set you apart from all the other online marketers in this niche and why should someone join you or buy from you and not some established marketer?

These are a few questions to be asking.

The "About Me" section of your website is critical.

It is all too easy to hide behind your website by just creating this one page alone and leaving it at that. This page has to grow just like you do. Even into more pages.

"Who are you?" That's what people want to know. Yes I've been listening to loads of Mooji videos lately. :)

The "About Me" page provides the opportunity to express who you are and in turn connect with your readers so you build authority and likeability.

This can be further complimented by more posts and even videos backed up by social media about you and what you are currently doing so that you can enhance your own personal branding.

This coupled with email marketing can be a powerful force to build your own branding.

It can take time for this to work but it could be an email you sent out to someone 2 years ago who finally joins your business. They may not have been ready at the time but they were monitoring what you were doing through the emails you sent.

It's not easy to do all of this but in this competitive market it is a top priority that potentially will set you apart so that you can achieve your own goals!
