2 weeks, 2 days since I joined WA.

It feels like it's been a LOT longer than that.

As I noted in earlier blogs, it became quickly apparent to me, as I gobbled through the initial training, that I'd been doing a lot of the heavy lifting (creating and sharing content) for a long time without really knowing what I was doing. I tried to go the route of creating a singular niche site here first, but as I did, I just couldn't feel good about continuing my efforts on my other sites when I knew there was a better way to do it.

But to start to do it right, I knew I had to move them. With both sites sitting on free Wordpress.com platforms, I couldn't do much with plugins, SEO or Adsense, to name a few obstacles. It was moving time.

To say that it's been a headache is an understatement. But as of tonight, I believe I've got both sites switched over and now hosted here at WA. That meant dealing with GoDaddy and Wordpress.com on a few different fronts, but the largest part of the headache was actually in finding a new theme I liked and re-integrating the content of my sites in a manner I both understood and appreciated. I've probably invested a full 24 hours or so of time into the process.

I thought I had a theme I wanted for my main site, and even decided to pay for the Pro version of it with demos, thinking that would be easier. But after several days of frustrations, the dashboard of the site a tangled web of glitches and frustrations, I finally gave up on that, started all over again, and finally - I think - have both previously existing sites now here at WA.

The work is just beginning.

I've reviewed, installed, uninstalled, tried and tested so many themes, plugins, tips and tricks in the last 10 days that I can hardly remember what I learned about setting up the All in One SEO. And so, my sites now here with me at WA, I'll go back and fill in the blanks and start winding this thing back up to speed.

In the midst of all that, not feeling passionate or convinced about the initial niche site I created as I went through the training, I did create another niche site here, though it does need its focus narrowed some. Ironically, creating it helped me to identify the theme I wanted for my main site. And I've an idea for a narrow niche that I'll attack after I get a few miles down the road on this other stuff I've just described.

As the days have gone by, I've been able to feel myself growing increasingly frustrated at not absorbing and implementing new training. I was re-doing work I'd already done, but it needed to be done. Well, it's not perfect, but I think I'm finally finished pulling back on that arrow and am just about ready to let it go.

I'm writing this to leave it as a reminder for myself of this journey. I hope to look back at this one day and have a good laugh over how far I've come

At last, time to dig back in :)
