Committed, or Interested?
A week and a day into my WA adventure, I feel like I've been here a lot longer than that. Thank you to all who have been so entirely welcoming. I'm grateful!
The good news is that I've long since been contributing to my own websites, though not to any specific niche, necessarily. So I've already built the muscle of consistent content, at least to some degree. But it's been frustrating to not have built more of an audience to this point.
Having educated myself both prior to and since joining up with you all at WA, there have been a rapid-fire succession of "Ah Ha" moments where I'm now able to see the critical parts I've been missing, and how limited I've actually been by being on the free Wordpress.com platform with no ability to activate Plug-Ins or to monetize. Ugh. So much wheel spinning!
Well, we're changing that now. As the light bulbs go off - pop! pop! pop! - and I'm suddenly frothing at the mouth to re-jig the content I've already got and then attack it much more strategically going forward, as well as adding my own niche sites along the way.
So I am more than interested. I'm committed. Site Support is working with me to try and get my other sites here to WA as we speak (we're chipping away at it). Those big, unfamiliar and uncomfortable transitions are hard, but I decided to jump and trust Site Support to help me figure out how to open the chute. Kudos to them for their patience with me.
The ride's a little rocky at the moment, but I figure that's just the turbulence of busting through the atmosphere.
