Dealing With Holiday Stress!
Everyone is watching! Yes, you read that correctly and sometimes it gets overwhelming. As we prepare for the stressful and right around the corner holiday season it may leave us acting like the GRINCH!
I keep reading articles on procedures to take to relieve some of the stress but when that bug bites it doesn't always let go that easily. I hear to HOST the activities yourself and that sounds great until you wrap your head around how much work goes into this "so called way to release stress"! There is so many ideas out there and some are great but keep in mind "You Are Your Own Person"! Try something you feel will help and if it doesn't then try something else because there is no wrong way to better your health mentally or physically!
What ever happened to just have the simple gatherings of friends and family. We used to simply enjoy each other's company and materials where the last thing on our minds. I hope that one day Landon understands that is the greatest gift and those are the gifts you won't want to return.
I have been awake and working answering my emails and have the news going in the background for about 5 hours now. I hear all over the news how toy sales are down 15% and literally heard the words "ITS ALL ABOUT THE TOYS"! They are already taking registration to book a Santa for next year to appear for gatherings and/or parties.
We need to set a different standard for the youth of our nation! There is too much evolvement around materialistic things and not enough of the true reason people are put on this earth.
Please enjoy the life you were given and keep in mind that the children see us as we are and become that mirrored image. Before you make a decision that may reflect the future just take a look around to see who is watching you!
I once was told by a very old wise man who was a complete (stranger) " YOU NEVER SEE A UHAUL BEHIND THE HURST"!!!!! I now understand what that means and most importantly I took that to heart. I hope all my WA members prepare wisely and have a safe happy holiday! OW AND DON'T FORGET TO HAVE FUN AND ENJOY THIS TIME!!!!

Can't agree more! I want to instill this is Landon while he is young! My opinion (and I do mean my opinion only) we seem to conform more to the social media the older. We live for societies expectations instead of our OWN! We greatly appreciate your words on this matter.

I couldn't agree more! As a mom of 3 (20, 12, & 11), I wants to go on a trip together or with more family, rather than a ton of gifts. A trip was too expensive this year, so we opted for more thoughtful presents instead. My 2 younger ones still believe (supposedly) so Ill take this year for what it is! Obviously we do family time and enjoy togetherness, we are a close knit family, so that comes easy to us!
