does anyone else's wordpress seem laggy? sometimes my connection times out, but it never tells me. So I write my content but it doesn't save. It's only happened a couple times

I'm wrestling with Wordpress and its tendency to time-out when I go to publish content from the back office. Its been persisting all morning.

I have tried a Wifi connection and RJ-45 cable, yet I still get the same results, so I know its not my internet connection.
I am also able to surf the internet (other sites) no problem. The only lag is from the Wordpress back office.

I create content and go to publish and it lags, then hangs, then finally times-out. Is anyone experiencing this today? I have been very patient, sometimes letting it hang for a good 5-6 minutes.

I have also tried restarting my computer and have deleted some Wordpress plugins that I was previously using in order to "lighten the load" on Wordpress back office.

All to no avail. Is anyone experiencing a lot of lag and time-outs this morning?

Any suggestions as to remedies is helpful. Thanks.

What do you mean by, "back office?" Does this mean that you are using a computer in a different physical place to do posting, that you normally use?

I just asked the wonderful tech support about this, and here was their response:

We are not facing any such issue at our end. Please refer to the following training which explains how to clear the browsers and local DNS cache:
Clear Browser Cache, History, Etc.
http://www.wikihow.com/Flush-DNS

Hello Windflower. I'm not sure what the issue was, but everything started working fine right after I posted a question about it. I hate when that happens, but Im glad its working better, now!

My ISP may have been throttling my connection. I know it says in their terms of service that they will do that in various cases during certain times of the day depending on their server load, etc.

Oh well - I do thank you for taking time to respond. I appreciate you trying to help. Have a nice day. :)

Perhaps it's your own internet connection not your website that's causing the problems.

No, I know it has nothing to do with the internet.

I havent;'seen this Kevin. Must be specific!

Next time it happens I'll take a screenshot and PM you.

I've been looking all over to find where to add my adsense code into my post. Can anyone tell me, or show me where to find the editor?

The easiest way to use Adsense is in a text widget

I already have my account set up. I need to know where to paste the code for an ad unit on my post.

It's a 6 page tutorial which covers locating your editor and pasting the code.

Ok thanks

I was wondering, how do you link questions to a page?

In the Affiliate boot camp: course 1 lesson 9, task 2.

The task is to ask a question on the WA platform then write a post on your website and add a link to the question you've asked.

The first step is to ask a question [done]

The next step is to write a post on your website which can be linked to your WA question. So start writing.

Then you can go to the top of this page and click into the address bar of your browser. Copy the full address (URL) https://my.wealthyaffiliate .com/wa-affiliate-program/how-do-you-link-questions-to-a-page/ (without the space)

Now add a text or image link within your post and paste in the URL Publish the post and you've completed the task.
