After the rain
Hello everyone,
Hello everyone,
After two days of rain in Sacramento, my garden looks so brighter than a week ago. This morning, the freshness of lavender, the piney scent of rosemary fragrant, flavorful, and colorful flowers, is a just pure joy of life.
I picture myself to plant more herbs, more vegetables, as it is early spring, it is the right moment for gardening.
A busy week is coming for me.
I have a sewing project for a customer to do. I will have to get up earlier, to be able to accomplish all the tasks I have put on my list.
More important one, providing an exciting article to make people interested in reading my website content.
Today, Sunday, let's relax a little bit, let's cook something, Have a glass of wine.
Do you like eating Salmon?
I always buy wild salmon from Alaska, and I will find it in Traders Joes.
This recipe with salmon, I prepared with some fancy spices and served with lemon-scented basmati rice and spoonful of natural yogurt, mixed with fresh ginger.
Ingredients
Two tomatoes shopped.
2tsp ground coriander
One tsp ground cumin
One tsp hot curry powder
1/2 tsp turmeric
1/2 fennel seeds
1 tbsp vegetable oil ( I use coconut oil)
Two tsp mustard seeds
1/4 cup fish stock, or vegetable bouillon
I use curry leaves because I have some in the garden.
500 g (1lb) salmon
Fresh spinach or frozen
natural yogurt with ginger to serve
Mix the tomatoes with the ground spices. Heat the oil in a pan, and add the mustard seeds, then add the fennel seeds and fry briefly. Add the tomatoes mixture and cook, stirring for a few minutes, then add the stock and curry leaves.
Once simmering, add the fish, poach gently for a few minutes, then turn the salmon over and finish cooking for another four minutes. Add the spinach.
Serve with a natural yogurt mixed with fresh ginger and basmati rice.
Bon Appetit.
Jacqueline.

This sounds amazing to meet but I know it wouldn't fly with my family. Thank you for sharing it though and good luck with your gardens.
Salmon is great! I usually get wild caught sockeye and keep it simple, but your recipe sounds very aromatic and earthy!
Enjoy your meal!
Thanks,
Marcus
