This past summer has been great with all of our trips to The Outer Banks from Virginia Beach. The best and most satisfying stay was a week long stay at a cottage in Corova! The wild horses were (and are) all around, not giving a dam if I'm close by. It's a short walk to the beach. With my metal detector and sand scoop over my shoulder, I get to the top of the last sand dune before the beach. I start surveying the surf looking for any large cuts in the shore line to start metal detecting. That day was great with several finds while hunting in chest deep surf.

We metal detect whenever we are on vacation.
Thanks for the reply. I'm Really into this hobby. I have a wet suit for cold water season. I also use the wet suit for warm water when jelly fish are present.
