No problem about having a landing page.
Why not have it as a separate sub-domain and link from it to your main site? Subdomain on Your Own Dot Com Website How to set up a Sub-Domain. Live Walkthrough
Thank you Robert!!!
This is so helpful.
What should I call my subdomaine for my landing page? Should it be related to my main page?
I was thinking about using ontrapages to set up my leading page and now thanks to you I know WA can host. Aweber can handle my list management. Am I on the right track?
Yes you are on the right track but you should really ask Marion Black who did the training I gave you a link to.
She will be able to give you a few pointers.
She does live in Australia though so she might be in bed though she is an night owl and stays up late.

Hi All,
I have spent the last month researching topics and building my site so that I have some (hopefully) relevant content. I am at the point where I have received accept
There's little point in monetising until you have traffic, otherwise you're advertising to no-one. Also, some affiliate programs only give you a certain window to make the first sale, before they cancel your affiliation.
You'll find that those who build multiple niche sites often wait until they start ranking on page #1 before affiliating. However, as long as you don't overdo the links and ads to content ratio, it's fine to start before then.
