Hi WA members,

I'm experiencing a drop in organic starting this month (April). I'll say it's about 20% decrease in search traffic and it affects my Amazon earning.

It appears that there was yet another Google update 27th of March 2019. But this was just the latest in the series in March. This might be the reason. I doubt that there is anything you can do.

I doubt it's because of the update as the rankings are unaffected. Anyway, thanks for the info I'll check it up.

How can you be sure about the ranking? Small changes in the most important posts may have drastic effects. You will be able to see this much later.

Have been through this last August, did not know what was happening but the income was reduced to half. Only much later I was able to see that the ranking in that period dropped by 29% in average.

I tracked the rankings in Jaaxy and did a manual search for some of my ranked posts that are bringing the bulk of traffic. They are still where they are.

But it could be searches through related terms that may be affected. I'll never know.

I'm aware of the Google medic update in August, didn't affect mine.

Just hoping that it's a seasonal thing for my niche and the interest to pick up later.

Yes there are many search terms for which posts appear in SERPs. This is why I was able to see everything only much later, this is just statistics. It can be seasonal of course, I see this in my sites perfectly clear, do not know your niche.

Traffic will always peak and trough as long as a good average figure is maintained you will be OK

I average about 320-350 organic visitors per day (except Christmas week). I'm getting like 250 / day since the beginning of April. Just wondering anything that's affecting users behavior in US this period?

Not sure but I would not be worried about it in your shoes... Zero traffic is another thing entirely

Well. You got a point. Thanks.

Just wondering who should I turn to to report an issue with Jaaxy siterank. My article was clearly on page one Google but I'm not sure why Jaaxy fails to pick it up.

Looks like Jaaxy is not at its best recently.

Another WA members reported Jaaxy wrongly
showing his article on position 2 on page 1,
when it is really at position 4 on page 1.

I have confirmed this by doing a search for
the Keyword this member is trying to rank for.

Where Jaaxy went wrong, a competitor
keyword tool was right with the ranking data.

I hope Kyle and Carson fix these issues and
make Jaaxy a valuable tool for WA members.

Yeah. It's a useful tool. Hope Kyle/Carson are aware of it.

Did you perform the ax act same search using the same terms?

I did manual search to confirm that Jaaxy was wrong.

Need some opinions from members who's using Thrive Content Builder in their site.

Does it increase your conversion rate/bounce rate/engagement?

I'm just wondering

I haven't try every tools yet.

Some pros said it's a lot better than Click Funnel.

However, I believe they're the best.
They have very good tutorials and their tools are been update constantly.
They also have a very good blog with very interesting contents.

I would suggest going with the yearly subscription for all their tools.
It's not cheap, but I think it worths it.

it increases your conversion rate Massively. I would say definitely is worth the money. The plug-in is constantly working on improving conversion and as far as I know, it is the only specialist product to do this. I wasn't impressed when it first came out but I am now.

At the beginning of the year, I retargeted my website to the anxiety niche.

https://makemindpowerful.com/

For so many posts, there should be more traffic. 30 per day is not enough to have a business. Assume 10% click and 10% of these to buy something. This means 1% out of 30 people, i.e., 0.3 sales per day. The percentage is usually smaller, so this is likely 0.1% or so, so you cannot expect much.

Though 300 clicks should give 10-15 sales, so think about what Kyle says.

Checked two keywords

how long should you meditate 80 14 139

fidget spinner for anxiety 121 21 30

The second is OK, the first is far too competitive for me.

Hi,

Thanks for your feedback.

Actually I ranked on the first page for the first keyword but nowhere on the top 60 for the second.

Now that I'm reviewing the content, it could be due the relevance of the content since some of them are pretty untargeted as I struggled to define my niche in the past few months.

I suppose I should place mention my core promotional products in a natural way in some of the top performing pages.

Thanks again.
Kenny

The first is a tough keyword; I checked and I see you on position 15, this is good for such a keyword.

I suppose the issue with my website is that it's not targeted enough. Been struggling with niche in the first year.

I think I need to narrow the niche and content down to social anxiety related only. The problem is do I take off contents that are not related or just leave it there for the traffic?

I would not remove anything.

Thanks. I will heed your advise. I'll maybe change the structure of my site to made it clear the niche it focus on.

I think this is a case of your promotions on your website not being targeted enough.

Relevant keyword => Relevant content => Relevant and hyper-targeted product/service recommendation.

That is the process that will lead to a much higher rate of conversions.

If this is organic traffic, it is a very good sign. So that should be reassuring to you as you are heading in the right direction.

Perhaps you could share with us your top traffic pages and offer us a bit more insight into your traffic here (what keywords you are ranked under) and we will help you out here Kenny.

Top 3 pages with most clicks in the past months as follow.
1. https://makemindpowerful.com/learned-life-story-nick-vujicic/
2. https://makemindpowerful.com/how-long-should-you-meditate/
3. https://makemindpowerful.com/fidget-spinner-for-anxiety/

Most of the hits are for meditation posts which I did last year before I switched over to the anxiety niche earlier this year, and suggest meditation as one of the remedy.

My sales this year came from a couple of hypnosis downloads. Which is my primary product to promote.

My anxiety posts has yet to see much organic traffic though.

Should I remove non-relevant contents? Or just leave it there because of the traffic it has generated?

Keep all content that you currently have and NEVER delete content that is getting traffic.

Just remember though that relevance converts.

For example, if I read this post:

https://makemindpowerful.com/fidget-spinner-for-anxiety/

I want to know where the top 3 or 5 places I can get the best fidget spinners for anxiety and for what price. I think if you concluded with that sort of information, with images and buy buttons, instead of subtle links to Amazon, you would have much more in the way of conversions.

You can take that approach with all of your pages. People want to be informed, helped, and then when you build trust, you can make relevant recommendations as to what will help them out.

Focus on the "benefits", not the features.

Thanks alot Kyle. This is very helpful and sorts of puts be back on the track again.

If you want 100% security (with padlock) you can't recover them Kenny.

You have to add code to each post called open-graph (OG) which points to your old shares. The problem is, this references the old http protocol and if you add this your site won't be 100% secure.

I contacted Sumome Tech Support and they sent me a link to the article.

It's best to forget about them if you want 100% security. If you want to recover them PM me and I'll send u a link to the article, but you won't get the padlock on your URL bar.

Yes. That's the similar response I got from SumoMe. I was hoping there are alternatives.

Thank you for this info Craig
