Page One On Google Again
I spent 4 hours on this post before publishing. This is probably the longest time I spent on a single post (I have a bad habit of wasting time hunting for images then writing blog).
And believe it or not, I didn't expect it to rank high. Because I'm not crafting this post as an ego-bait. As such I am not banking on influencers to promote the post for me
Well, turned out it did rank quite well. after spending a few hours in between in Google Sandbox.
Compared to my previous post that enjoyed a brief stay on page 1, this
has a lower QSR (69).

With this post, I want to highlight one concern that most new WA members have (including myself) when they first started the lessons on affiliate link.
There is the misconception that if you put affiliate links in your post, then Google is going to punish you and you're not going to rank well.
I believe that's not the case. Your site will only get punish if you produce low quality content or you spam it with affiliate links.

Good morning Kenny, nice name. My name is Ken and the same thing happened to me. Except I WAS trying to rank high in the SERPS with my post. As you can see from the attached screen shot from Jaaxy, my website post at position one, page one of google. Today, lol, it is at position number eleven. I suggest you do diligent keyword research before writing your post. Put your keyword in the title and in the first sentence. Your rankings will improve dramatically.

You can definitely rank well with affiliate links on your page, but generally speaking if ever single page on your website is on big affiliate offer, Google is not going to be too keen on it.
All reviews can rank really well and they are full of affiliate links. Proves the case that they can rank.
