Dont pigeon hole yourself to one affiliate vendor

Hi all WA peeps,

Hope your weekends going great. I am just thinking how sometimes we can get too sucked into a routine, after all routine is good, it feels nice and safe. The same could be said for your affiliate vendors. There are so many to choose from that it can be easy to just pick one or two top known brands and that’s it. As you want to hunts atick with the main brands as that feels comfortable.

And I’m not saying don’t go with Amazon or Etsy or eBay, just maybe keep your options open, after all different vendors have different perks to offer. And you could be surprised just how competitive some of the smaller vendors are, I guess they have to have a few great offers on their on at least some of their goods in order to compete with the big boys right?

So to that end I am joining several more well known but not massive brands to expand my product review range and offer a better service and experience for my site visitors.

Anyway I’d love to hear some opinions and thoughts from you guys,

Thanks for reading,

Kenny

Hey Kenny,
I agree with you on that because they also have different lengths of time in which you must produce a sale before they drop you.

Tried and True

keeping your options open means you find new products as well

All the best,

Hey Kenny, yes and no to this.

Depending - larger networks/affiliate tend to be a little more stable YET there are risks of them changing the rules (ie decreasing affiliate commissions or making things harder).

Whereas smaller players may hustle more and be more competitive BUT they too may suffer from lack of stability...

The most important thing is to understand our roles as affiliate marketers...is that we not only sell/promote affiliate products BUT more importantly, we must understand our position that we ARE PUBLISHERS and we need to own our niche. our sites and our customers.

The affiliate products and services are "sold" to add value to our customers and readers, not the other way around.

Once we establish that, we can sell affiliate products, create our own or even sell ad space...

Yes a good point, never forget that adding value comes first

Yes indeed. Spread your asset sources!

I have one product and a service that i am combining now. It is a water system and i am promoting Wa as a means to promote the water system once they have bought.

I am passionate about those 2 but maybe later I will look at others
have a great day Kenny.

A good point to keep in mind Kenny.

Derek
