Trying to get my blog sent. Won’t go. Asks me for a tag. What is this?

What does ‘following someone’ mean in this context?

Thanks for advice. K

Hi, Keith!

Do you get the tag message when you try to publish a post? This training will help you understand tags: Following someone in the community simply means you are in their network, much like FB. This will explain it:

Thanks, Gary. Shall look into it. Vive America. (However, I do mean north and south of the line. Please understand. None of us ask to be born where we are. (Even who we are!). I just love this conundrum, don’t you?

Keith, you make a good point. I'm reminded of a line in a song by The Grateful Dead. "What a long strange trip it's been." Indeed.

It’s a long ‘strange trip’ for everyone, Gary. Sometimes nicer for some than others. But we know this, eh? (Let’s dwell on the ‘positives’ we have in all our lives. Waddyasay? (For there are many, probably many many many(!) getting it much harder than ourselves. Now, to get to ‘tags’, I can hardly understand what the chap is going on about. (Not his fault, only mine)........Let me say, I’m in a way trying to describe this transition I’m on into the 21st Century (in which WA is playing its part and I’m trying to give certain others a bit of hope (!) that they’re not alone in their own quest for more understanding and coping. How kind!). What tags could you suggest for using? (Just do it, Gary...it would get me started at least. As a lady said further down, a tag is needed or the blog stays put (in draft, I’ve discovered).

Hi, Keith!

Part of WA is the social function. Some people have described WA as Facebook for internet marketers. When you follow someone, or they follow you, you are building your own network within WA.

You'll find more info here: About the tag, if it was a post on your WA blog, it just wanted to know how the search engine within WA should label that post.

Gary

Gary, I began what I thought was the beginning of a blog just now. Saw a pop-up for a bit of ‘footage’ re Trump and his wife meeting the Queen. Went straight to it. Came back and - lo and behold - what I did has disappeared. (When will I ever learn? Namely, these things don’t hang about if ye don’t ‘do the right thing’ and save ‘em somehow). Fortunately for me...with my granted belief in the everlastingness of fings...I can accept the time involved was not a waste of time. Blinking good job, I say. Otherwise I’d be choked. ( BTW, any use I make of local idioms and they’re a bit unclear...just let me know: I know you’re a word man and enjoy the different usages and nuances of language : especially the English one).....I wish to thank you for your explanation of ‘tags’ [for the blogs] some time back. (Did I thank you already?). I was still not sure what I was supposed to do. Am still not(!).....For example, can I put ‘KeithJ2 no.1’ in the box and it’ll suffice...and make sense? (Phew). Otherwise, I note the passage I type out stays in draft...Yes, I shall start those Carson and Kyle-encouraged lessons very soon. Betcha....Trust u is good....Last point. If my first blog attempt gets ‘published’, a second one just follows on, correct?...as long as I have something (I consider) of import to say...(I could have done this ‘private’, I know. But perhaps another ‘my-generationer’ might find some solace in realising there are others a bit at sea with all this. Even be happy to learn from you. (Smile). Cheers, mon ami...

Think of the tags as search tags. Tags are the words people might use to find your article/post. They are essentially additional keywords.

If you wrote about Cherry Tomatoes as tag might be "tomatoes."

Yes, I am enjoying your use of local idioms, very colorful.

That's right, publish a post and then write another one. Be sure that each post is focused on a keyword related to your niche and that people are searching for.

Thanks, Gary. (Worralad!) Much appreciated.

I’m pretty new here. Occupied with so much just now. Wish to introduce friends and acquaintances...Please advise, someone.

Cheers

Keith

You can choose whether to work on a niche site or promoting WA site. Both lessons are in the Training, and they will walk you through what you need to do. Then, if you have questions just ask as you did here. Hope this helps.

Thanks, Linda. Your message got a bit lost with me. Been ‘on the road’...well a plane too of late ++. Yes, I’d like to promote WA. For all the right reasons, including the success of many people who need this. (On the other hand...mmm...now what sort of ‘niche’ could I actually get involved in, one day? One will find out in due course if this is on the cards....Wishing you well...Always.

Click on the $ sign in the top right-hand corner. When you click this, you should find an icon which says "links & tracking". Here you'll find your WA affiliate links.

This blog post might help as well Hope that helps.
Steph

Thank you, Steph. I missed this. Been travelling an’ all sorts. Much appreciate your bothering. I’m now ‘there’ with it, thanks. There’ll be loads of other things to be asking ongoing...Such is life. And this is what it’s about. Correct? Smile. Wishing you well and much success in what you are about.
