hey hi Wealthy Affiliate creatives, inventives, imagineers, winners, go-getters!

Before we get rolling, you need to know that this post contains an interview with TOP - RANKING WA Ambassador Jeff later on in the blog for your reading enjoyment!

OK, Let's start at the beginning!

Do you recall what Thomas Edison is famous for and known to be successful as?

That's right, he invented the first ever incandescent electric light bulb back in 1879.

Indeed, how many tries did it take for him to accomplish this feat that has definitely helped to better the quality of life for millions of people around the world.

One of Edison's most well-known sayings is:

----"I have not failed.--- I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work."-----

Imagine trying something 10,000 times to get to Eureka!

Would you have that kind of perseverance or staying power to stick with it?

Now the next part also involves a quotable quote by Thomas Edison and here's a question for YOU!

Question of the Day: Do YOU wear Overalls? or Own a Pair?

What did Edison have to say about 'overalls?'

-“Opportunity is missed by most people (only) because it is dressed in overalls and looks (too much) like work.”-

And of course, according to Edison,

- "Genius is one percent inspiration and ninety-nine percent perspiration."-

---
Thomas Edison---

Well, in a recent chat with our beloved WA Ambassador Jeff out at the farm, he fesses up to wearing coveralls back in the 90s! "I used to, back in the 1990s, Keisha!"

And our winsome Jeff also admitted to wearing even coveralls when the job required heavy-duty work! ... "Sometimes, depending on the job!" .....

Yes, we are so fortunate to enjoy the daily stories in the life and times of a Top-Ranking Member!

Well, folks, the lesson for today is --- do not pass up a chance to make a difference in someone's life because the situation is dressed in 'overalls' and would look like too much work!

TOO MUCH WORK !

Just take it ON !

YOU, too, can be that amazing inventor or known authority in a special niche because you gave 99 % sweat equity in your WA project fueled by 1 % inspiration!

What do you say to that?

Thanks for reading .

Great post, Keisha. When I dream of success, I like to use Nikola Tesla as my example. He helped everyone else with their inventions, never collected a dime on them, but his work is about to be re-launched in a big, big way. Whatever hero we choose, we'll get there by emulating them. So bless you for this post.

... uhm, very interesting ... Tesla! ... it seems he's only really coming into his own these days and much better appreciated than back then ...

.... interesting that 'his work is about to be re-launched in a big, big way!' .... how so? ... would you like to say more about this? ... help bring me up-to-date? ...

... thanks kindly, Joss, for sharing ... cheerio ... ⭐️😊⭐️...

As a boy, it was like a must to get on the overalls when going to my Uncle's house. He was a ranch foreman for one of Texas' largest ranches and always had a cow to feed, hay to move, or fences to mend for us to make a few bucks. Overalls, heavy gloves, and sweet tea texas style lead to many a celebratory steak at the end of a hard day's work.

*** yes, sounds like it was a wonderful time when we spent the entire day in the great outdoors, fresh air, working at something and then the day would be done! .... it all went so quickly! ...

and yes, ah, at the end of it all, a super dinner to celebrate it all!

do the steaks taste the same to you these days as it did back then? ...

If I could gum them I still earn them just more with my brain than brawn. BTW, also learned by watching a cousin pee on an electric fence that you put them overalls on but don't take them off for nothing til back at the ranch lol.

.... hahahahehehe-e! .... lol ... that's quite a quip and what a picture it gives! ... way too-o funniee-e Andy! .... so precious! ...

The worst thing for Don Jr. is it's a true story. That poor kid has a lot of childhood memories to forget he also got pinned by a bull at the rodeo and broke nearly every bone in his body by age 16. He was a golden gloves boxer who only got defeated by the kid 4 inches shorter he refused to fight, and that's least of a long list of life lessons that made him tough as nails.

... just for clarity ... Don Jr. is your cousin then? ...

... and yes, agree, life does give lessons that are meaningful and perhaps even unique for the person ... :)

Yes, he's my cousin by marriage luckily, us Andersons are smart enough we fall down we get up and try not to fall down again. Oglesby's however seem to trip over the same bull chips more than once and more often than most.

... sounds like you've got a fabulous extended family to enjoy all these quips, and antics galore! ... and musta enjoyed some big dinners, too? ...

... bull chips? ... is that like mud-pies? .... lol ....

Depends on if you're a blind kid picking the mud. Just make sure they're dry first and they toss like a frisbee or a horseshoe, not a baseball or basket ball, and no kicking like soccer. A good way to wear one home if you do.

Big dinner's heck, a family and neighbors reunion which was at least once a month would net 30 plus people, means baseball, football, and horseshoes with more Football because we are talking Texas. Then there were bull races down by the tank (pond). You jump the fence, run past the tank, and over the other fence faster than the bull to win the race. Nobody was ever dumb enough to lose their race.

*** Wow! ... sounds like they really were 'those were the days, my friend, thought they'd never end!' ... love it! ....

Texans love BIG, Everything is BIG! ... what a life it must be! ...

Do you ever wish you were a kid again? ...

Sometimes, i can't believe of how fast the years have gone by -- like a blink of an eye! ...

As they say, Life is Short ... best to enjoy it all each 'n every day!

I don't wish to be a kid again because 21 would let me try all that crap on beer. But yes they were carefree fun and a well earned break from normal living I wish my kids could experience.

yes, my fondest memories as a kid before being a teen were the best ones ... so care-free .... teen years were a bit more challenging due to 'peer conformity!' ...

and now of course, being an 'adult' brings with it responsibilities, societal expectations that we didn't have as a kid ..

But there is hope, the great comedians all made a lifetime out of mooning the world. None thought the fool and if they can do it hold this beer and watch dis.

... 'mooning the world!' ... lol ... you're a treasure, Andy! ... :)

I don't own overalls, Keisha, but I do own old pants and sweats for serious labor, like chopping fire wood or shoveling snow. But since Ambassador Jeff has set the bar on hard work, then I'll see about getting me a pair of overalls to meet those standards 👍

I think Edison had like over 1,000 patents, and even attempted to add sound to motion pictures too, but it never really took off and he abandoned it, and they were stuck with silent film for a few more years.

Thanks for the post Keisha

Isaiah 😊

I prefer Dickies Brand, Isaiah!😎

Much appreciated, Jeff 👍

You're always welcome, Isaiah!

Jeff

hey hi Wonderful Isaiah! ... always delightful to hear from you! ...

... and 'old pants and sweats' might be in Vogue?! ... lol ..

That's interesting about Edison ... he musta been quite a character, a highly inventive genius type character ... to work on over 1000 patents ... Imagine! ... is there anyone like him here today? ... just pondering ...

THANK You for popping by with your enlightening reply ...

keep well, stay happy & strong ... cheerio ... ⭐️😊⭐️...

Love it!
Joe

*** hi Joe ... appreciate you breezin' by with your reply ... you wouldn't happen to own a set of overalls, now would you?! ...

chuckles ... cheerio ... ⭐️😉⭐️...****

Just jeans!
😀

... hey, jeans work! .. chuckles! ... :)

🤓

... and add a t-shirt, too! .... :)

Don't miss great opportunities that may be dressed in overalls. Have a good day Keisha

*** and it's all ok ... apparently Jeans and Ts are ok, too! ...

cheerio ... ⭐️😉⭐️ .... ***
