Thanks to Essential Workers During this Trying Time for the 2020 World!

This post is to ---Give Thanks--- to all the essential workers at the front lines during this trying time for the 2020 world!

Somehow, when someone is prepared to lay their life down so that others may live, it seems that a simple thank you is enough or is it?

Most of our front-line workers are modest, caring, humble, hard-working folks who care about others in a way that would astound the rest of us ... they have been 'on-duty' tirelessly, day in and day out to ensure that we have the essential services so badly needed to keep our lives safe and intact -- whether they are cashiers or stocking groceries on the shelves or packing or delivering; transportation drivers keeping transit moving, and of course, our precious health care workers right on the 'front-lines' in hospitals, clinics attending to patient admissions & care and laboratory technicians dealing with testing samples, as well as, so many others.

Well, it came to my attention that Glenn of GlennDubs, WA member since October 2019 is such a person and this is a tribute to his bravery and this is what he had to say in a reply to one of my posts this week:

"Good thing I was able to get enough toilet paper to wrap the house and protect my family. Whew, I am happy I was thinking early. Of course, I am kidding, toilet paper will not protect anyone from the coronavirus. The panic response has scared me more than the virus. That and the fact that someone can be infected, have no symptoms, but infect those who come in contact."

"I know this is no laughing matter but it is one way I deal with the stress of the situation. I'm in NYC and in one of the zip codes with the most cases of COVID-19 throughout the city. In addition, I am an essential worker in a hospital."

"I don't really know where I am going with this response to your post other than to say, "Stay home, distance yourself from others, wear a mask if you have to go out, if you have symptoms call your healthcare provider, help those that are vulnerable (share your toilet paper), and be safe."

"By the way, do not wrap your house in toilet paper...it doesn't help and is no fun to clean up."

Knowing that we have a fellow WA member who works at the front lines brings home of how vulnerable we all can be ... he is married with a young family, a four-year-old son .... let's send Glenn best wishes for care & safety in his work and for him to keep healthy as well ...

Glenn, we wish you all the very best and we thank you for your Brave Heart!

..."I know this will end, but can't wait until it is gone. The many levels of uncertainty is wearing on us all. Again, I appreciate you writing a post to the essential workers, but don't thank me specifically as I am one of many. ... Keep us in your prayers."

In gratefulness to Glenn, let's keep him, our precious WA member in our hearts & minds for his safety and to wish him well . . .
