Listen to the Moody Blues
We're getting well into the sunset of another mellow moody Monday .... and with the setting sun and into the night -- enjoy a listen to the Moody Blues ..... a British rock band of the rockin' '60s into the 70s and still popular today ...
For all those who are interested in rock music of the last century -- enjoy a mellow Monday by having a listen to their fabulous music -- can be found on Youtube ...
I love music and in a different life -- would likely have pursued it more fully ---
With an ear or two, we can certainly invest in some music appreciation to our delight . . .

Nights in white satin,
Never reaching the end,
Letters Ive written,
Never meaning to send.
Beauty I'd always missed
With these eyes before,
Just what the truth is
I can't say anymore.

"To Our Children's Children's Children" and In "Search of the Lost Chord" are two of my favourite Moody Blues albums and 'Legend of a Mind' one of the best songs.
Then, how can we fail to mention 'Forever Autumn' by Justin Hayward.
I think they were ahead of their time. A friend introduced me to their music, some thirty years ago. Sad times and good times rolled into one, as music can do.
Many college hours of study, we're completed with the help of the Moody Blues! Very fond memories.
Looking forward to tomorrow! "Tuesday Afternoon" !
Thanks for pleasant stroll down memory lane, Keisha!
Best!
Barb
Oh, and Happy Thanksgiving!!
did you and Dave happen to attend the same college?! ....
glad to hear of your fond memories with this music ...
best to be happy! .... βοΈππΊπ·π€π΅βοΈ
If we did?? ...Don't think we'd have graduated! Ha-haa!
I had 5 albums, which I'd stack all at once, put on my super cushy headphones, and open up Zoology, and have at it!
My breaks were usually a chair dance, while I conducted the orchestra!
Bathroom breaks, and stretch... when the album's needed to be flipped!
Wink!
... love it! ... same! ... with all those breaks and excuses and pizza! ... don't know of how i ever got through all those years of university! .... a few degrees later ... lol ... rock on! ... π΅ ... lol
I haven't changed! Still study because I love a mystery, and to Roll n' Roll! Default on my cable is the Oldies channel. All the way back to the 50's, when I entered this world. Now, that's another trip to take, and knowing all the songs from then, as well. I remember when I heard and learned.
I read one never really forgets something they've learned, but when in the meditative state, all sorts of things flow into consciousness. Music is the catalyst and my mean motivator for articles for my blog.
.... what a thrill ! ... yes, music to our ears -- helps us to learn to listen better ... my puppy listens the best of anyone! ... :)
WOW - what a blast from the past.
The Moody Blues were very popular when I was a freshman in college - I used to listen to them A LOT.
I can still hear the melody while reading the words.
Thanks for the wonderful memory - those were some of my happiest years.
Dave.
*** did you and Barb happen to attend the same college?! ... chuckles! ...
the 60s era of music was an absolute period onto its own -- just wee bit too young to have truly enjoyed it all -- enjoying it now in fits 'n spurts here 'n there ... and the 50s rock music also amazing!
glad they brought you back to your happiest years .... π΅ .... and many more to come .... βοΈππΊπ€π·π΅βοΈ
well -- we may need another one coming up soon! ... peace movement that is! .... ya -- quite a vibe to it! .... thanks so much for your sharing, Barb! .... fun reminiscing along memory lane --- there's just been so much beautiful music created through these past few decades
(mostly post-1945) .... π΅ ....
Yes! Each decade had it's new element to the growing theme.
Peace begins each person. The peace movement was rather less than peaceful.
Music was real and hopeful, however, which resonates with me, still to this day.
Faith in mankind for a better tomorrow, starting with me. Wink!
Thanks for a lovely evening!

Love it!
As a boy I was bought up listening to Music. My late elder sister Lorraine had fantastic musical taste which has stayed with me and become part of my being.
When I was about 12/13 years old I heard a song on the radio that was so beautiful it transfixed me, bearing in mind my hormones were starting to go into overdrive at this time.
The singer is the beautiful Kiki Dee.
The song was called "Amoureuse"
I heard it a few days ago for the first time in years and it still brings a shiver of pleasure to me.
Some of the first beautiful words...β¦..
"Strands of light upon a bedroom floor
Change the night through an open door
I'm awake but this not my home
For the first time I'm not alone"
"Reaching out, I touch another skin
Breathing out as he is breathing in
Deep inside I feel my soul aflame
Can my life ever be the same?"
Enjoy!

*** Beautiful ! ... βοΈπ€π·π΅πΊπ ... thanks so much for sharing your music !
Very Nice. How come I've never heard of Kiki Dee?
A mixture of Joan Baez and Karen Carpenter. lol
She's Good John,
Well known in the UK for having a No1 in the UK chart as a Duet with Elton John - Way back in the 70s.
