Capturing Your Favourite Things on the Wealthy Affiliate (WA)

For newbies, (like myself and I commiserate and frankly still at it--likely for the next eons..lol..), it takes awhile to become proficient on the WA platform which has so many amazing features to learn of how to use them all.

One of these features involves a question that I asked this week, " How can I bookmark stuff that I like?" ... and it flowed from there onward. . . the purpose of today's blog post is to guide you on the easy steps in capturing your favourite things on WA and then of how to simply retrieve said favourite things.

What is a BOOKMARK?

Simply a place holder -- for instance, back in the day when everyone read books, one always had way to 'bookmark' the page where they left off to return to it at a later time and resume reading again.

Why do we need to BOOKMARK anything?

Well some have said they use their browser bookmark -- and others, like myself, were and perhaps are still scratching their heads over this... (my browser bookmarks are quite extensive and getting to the point of 'too much' due to a multitude of interests) ... subsequently, my question went into the community bin for answers and as a result, a bit more thinking about and a number of uses came to mind ... and here they are:

-- the reasons why --

Firstly, bookmarking helps the WA family members by being able to find reference or sources quickly;

Secondly, when commonly asked questions arise, then it is simpler to send the bookmarked material as an answer for consistency & information accuracy;

Thirdly, while developing & building our websites -- all too often, we scratch our heads a bit and say to ourselves, 'now where did i see that?' bookmarking enables us to locate all those vital info-bits stored away somewhere in the recesses of WA;

Fourthly, with proper bookmarks, we have a place for everything in one place and everything in its place -- we can now be info.-superstars knowing where everything that we like & need can be found promptly, within nanoseconds! ... and

Finally, how are we all going to graduate from WA U. if we can't even find our own stuff? ... lol... enjoy the journey!

So those are a number of reasons 'why' it is beneficial to have bookmarks in place for our favourite things. Now onto the bigger question of 'how' do we bookmark

The Big Question: "HOW to BOOKMARK?"

The initial process involves eyeballing the Gold Star which can be found above or sometimes below the post or text: 1) click on the Gold Star; 2) think of a tag; 3) add said tag; 4) voilà; done; and 5) check your MY Favourites.

Next Question: Where is My Favourites you might ask? ...

Good question -- it is very subtly placed to the far right of the greyed horizontal search bar across from the WA logo ... can you see it? ... it's kinda like the kids' game of 'hide 'n seek' and ye shall then find!

I think the guys had a wonderful comedic sense of humour programming this one in... :)

There should be a newbie prize for finding this feature! What do you think of this idea?

Last Question: How do We Find "My Favourite Things?"

If you have bookmarked your favourite item correctly, you will then be able to find it from your own treasure chest of favourite things by simply clicking on the ever so subtle greyed star to the far right of the WA logo across in the search bar above.

Everything is automatically lined up alphabetically and there it all is for you to find whenever you need to do so. Your very own treasure chest of goodies! ... Voilà!

Summary

In summing up, here we have it -- another one of WA's mysteries have been solved!

We almost need to be a bunch of Inspector Clouseaus (Pink Panther series) or Columbos (one of my Dad's favourite television characters) or Get Smarts (the shoe-phone intelligence fellow with 99) to uncover all the WA goodies seemingly hidden apparently right in front of our noses.... lol ... :o

Hope you enjoyed this treasure series!

Thanks kindly for reading! ... and your comments & likes are most welcome!

All the best to everyone for every success... :)

*(P.S. still getting used to blogging so I find these gold nugget gems to work with a lot of fun in the hopes of creating interest for everyone here at WA... :)

*(P.S.S. if you've read this far, here's a factoid gift for you -- a rose is the perfect flower and that's why they are loved the world over!).... :)

A beautiful rose for you to enjoy ! ... imagine the fragrant scent! ... ah-h!

Enjoy a beautiful, peaceful, loving day, each and every day! ... all the best... :)

Took me a while to learn this trick and it is very useful. I don’t want to give someone an answer I am not reasonableness sure of.
