hey hi Wonderful Wealthy Affiliate ranchers, farmers, marvelous members, islanders, land-lovers or is that land-lubbers?

Anyway, simply checking out what's happenin' back at the ranch so to speak!

A true story.

Perhaps.

(Fiction is so much more believable though, would you agree?)

Let's carry on .....

and expand ourselves! ....

Just love the expansiveness of space and land where one can stretch one's vision over the hills and dale!

Lovely!

We have some horsie friends and their names are Pepper, a grey-spotted ol' mare and Tall Time, a strapping young colt with a chestnut coat and a white patchy star on his forehead.

Tall Time loves chomping on crisp apples on offer and yummy organic carrots, too!

He enjoys a longing gaze to check us out and nods in recognition of us.

Pepper has seen more social days during her younger years.

Would you enjoy a wee, warm pat or nose nuzzle?

Tall Time likes it!

A sign of affection.

One time, being a horse whisperer, I could here him saying, 'Beronco, Beronco, and again Beronco.'

Well, as it turns out he was feeling a wee bit itchy and needed some Beronco -- horse skin toner!

He absolutely knew what he needed and communicated it.

Yes, it's just us humans who are limited in understanding what the animal kingdom has to say!

* * * * * * * * * * * * *

Yes, back at the ranch, indeed.

To roam in complete freedom and to move in joyful ecstasy along the miles and miles of expansiveness going somewhere afar!

we all enjoy a great gallop together! ... or is it a trot? .... or a straight-out RUN? .... lol ...

whichever way it is, better know of how to handle those reins! ... whoa-a-a! ....

Believe it or not, I did own a pink Stetson and eventually gave it away! ... was a real cow-gal for a wee while! ... with jeans and all ! ....

Anyway, to my ... poof! ....

was this all a run-away dream or was it for real?

let's find out in the next chapter of the story ....

thanks kindly for reading ....

Wifey and I love nature and are blessed to have many critters calling our yard home. Just today, the second hatching of the season and we were blessed by about a dozen or so teeny tiny quail following mom and pop on a foraging adventure in the yard. They were so cute! Other times, Wifey and I will drive south a ways into the desert to watch our magnificent mustangs as they tend their herd and nurture the young. Amazing!

Greg

*** critters?! ... what kind? ... lol ... oh, quails! .... so cute! ...

mustangs? ... wild mustangs? .... wow! .....

Love nature! .... thanks kindly for sharing the magnificence of wildlife --- wildlife are usually too shy to be visible to humans! ...

Nature is Amazing! ... :) ***

Shy, but with patience and respect, they will make their presence known. We also have rabbits, chipmunks, birds of all stripes and a boat load of lizards gracing our property. Last night, much to our utter joy, there were three small bats winging just beyond the fence. Don't often see bats, in fact the last time was the summer of 09. Hundreds of them nested somewhere off property and they would swarm nightly in search of food. They were only around for a few nights and then were gone. Migrating I suppose. Haven't seen them since, until last night, and only three of them.

... ah, you've just given me a memory-jogger! ... living out in the French country-side, last century, there'd be a wee chipmunk, just one, who would come up and run along the fence top to see what i might have for him .... so I had to go get peanuts in the shell just for him! .... funny thing .... he would kinda trill - trill at me .... and once he got so close, i thought he was going to jump onto my foot and climb up to my shoulders! ... i did let out a shriek! .... frightened myself more than 'Chippie!' .... that's what i called him! ... anyways, haven't seen another chippie since .... he was soo-o darling cute! ....

i am constantly amazed at the wonder of nature! .... just the design alone is amazing! ... and everything is just perfect! ...

I've never ridden a horse before Keisha. But I've been inspired by lots of Westerns and the Lord of the Ring movies to ride one someday. It's somewhere on my bucket list, if I'm ever vacationing near a ranch.

Thanks for the post!
Isaiah 😊

.... back in my kid days, did ride for awhile ... the very first time I got on a horse, it sped-ran like a wild-fire! ... i held on though and it was English saddle as well ... it sure took me for a ride as it was smart enough to know I didn't have a clue about holding the reins properly! .... so the lesson here is to know of how to hold the reins before you get on the horse and using your knees properly, too! ... lol ...

.... they are some of the most intelligent beings alive! ....

Keisha,
Wonderful post.
I truly enjoyed it.

hey hi beautiful Barbara! ... how r u? ....

what did you like best about it? ... it'll help me to improve for the next one ... thanks!

I loved how you talked about the horses. Besides dogs, horses are my favorite animal.

I actually liked the way you spun your take. It was whimsical, and very imaginative. I could actually visualize the story as it unfolded.

... Love it! ... I so much appreciate your very considered cosmic comment about my writing style! ... so very appreciate YOU! ...

... that truly helps! ... it's actually based upon some real factual experience so it made it easier to write about! ....

... so happy you enjoyed reading and visualizing it! ....

imagineering and creatively spinning a yarn takes quite a bit of doing, doesn't it? ....

... thanks muchly! ....

let's enjoy a cuppa or two together plus treats galore -- service on a silver platter just for you!

.... ☕️☕️ + 🍰🍩🌭🧀🎂🍰🎈 .....!

Thank you.
