If it were possible to be beyond new to something, that would be me to this! I'm just trying to understand, is the main task at hand to post blogs and relatable co
The main task is to build a website that helps people solve a problem. When they visit your site, they can click on your affiliate links and by doing that, you then obtain commission for what they buy.
However, before adding the affiliate links, make sure you have the traffic coming to your site. It doesn't make sense to start adding affiliate links with no traffic. Places like Amazon give you a certain amount of time to make sales or they will close your account out, so make sure you are aware of the rules and regulations of the affiliate programs you join.

I haven't had any affiliate marketing experience before so I'm just wrapping my head around it and your comment cleared up most of my now and future questions :)
That's awesome. Glad to help. If it makes you feel any better, before I came to WA, I had no experience either. Trust me, you start to understand more and more as you move forward. So, stick with it and if you get stuck or frustrated, reach out for help. I don't know EVERYTHING about WA, but I can certainly help get you steered in the right direction if you get lost. :)
