Who is CONTENT?!

Now that's an easy one. Plain and straight >>> Content is King, and King of the information age too.

Hey, let's face it...regardless of me or even you crowning this guy king, he's still KING right? Right!

Now let's begin!

What is CONTENT?!

Keane's definition (Content):

"...Content is any piece of valuable information that has a perceived value attached or affiliated to it...". This value may take the form of written (print) media, ranging from articles in a newspaper to the very words that you're reading on this blog right now (kool huh, lol).

Content therefore, is deemed "important and beneficial", especially to the needs or wants of those individuals that come in contact with it (must be useful, in order to be helpful).

What makes CONTENT King?

Even a KING can serve:

Now by this I mean, content should be able to simply serve the "needs and wants of people", especially those within a particular community. Matching the right content to right people is only possible through means of communication by service, thus providing customer satisfaction. Therefore, your content should be able serve.

Let's get JIGGY with it:

Here is where the fun begins, and no I don't mean partying, so put them dancing shoes down for now, lol.

Criteria for being King:

===> Content MUST be FRESH or FUNKY (up-to-date)

===> Content MUST be USEFUL! (beneficial to people)

===> Content MUST be VALUABLE (possessing worth)

===> Content MUST be GLOBALIZED (able to reach anyone anywhere)

===> Content MUST be EXPLAINABLE (easily understood)

===> Content MUST be UNDERSTANDABLE, SIMPLE (clear & easy to follow)

With this criteria applied, especially to one's business, content will always deliver on its promise of providing "Value" to any reader.

Every KING has a Palace!

Lion is to Savanna (and no not jungle, lol)...as content is to? Got it right? No? Let me help...as "Content is to a Community - here it can be offline and online." Here's why. Remember how the Lion has the Savanna as its territory, where it gets to reign all day and night? Well, same too is said about Content reigning in the communities (palace), where it gets to ride on the horses of Social Media (Facebook, Twitter) all day and night...moving through both space and time.

This community (palace), be it an online or offline one, maybe be somewhat bigger than a Lion's Savanna. However, both serve the same purpose allowing distances to be travelled - near and far, reaching the eyes, hands and hearts of many readers worldwide.

Key: Content possesses a perceived value. If it has "GREAT Value", then it's "GREAT Content".

Lesson: Respect your palace and your King will respect you...in other words, respect your content bearing in mind it's value adding capabilities, and your audience (visitors to your website) will respect you and your business.

Remember...a successful business is like a dish of ingredients - requiring input, time and patience. Same too is content, which requires a little creativity, direction and a willing hand to type it :)

===> Take the time to perfect your content, it will not only benefit your business in the long run...but it will benefit your readers or website visitors in the short run. Thereby, creating a business that can last for years to come...
