WA Affiliate Program
Updated

I've been thinking about updating my WA review to reflect a more accurate perspective now that I have more experience and can probably explain the platform better.

Sinc

Again....learned a lot from one simple question! Thanks for asking kdhall =)

I did a "Wealthy Affiliate Review - No 2". My first review was about my personal experience, etc. So on the 2nd Wealthy Affiliate I continued my experience now that I am a Premium member and the content is different, etc. It has worked out just fine having a second review.

When you did your second review, what happened to the previous review you had linked to your other content?

Did you go back and link your new review - or do you link your most recent to your newest content? Or was your review #2 continued on your 1st review?

It seems like so much work to go back through all my posts that link to my review and change it...

Thanks for your response!

I just added another separate review onto my site under my Menu Tab called "Reviews" https://generateaffiliateincome.com/wealthy-affiliate-2017-review-no-2

Check my menu reviews and you will see both reviews. I haven't had any problem with it and tried to change the content around so it is different - kind of a continuing review since I had more experience.

Awesome. Thank you. That gives me a more clear picture! I can see how I can learn from your experience! :)

Hope it helps.

Hi Darleen,
Just had a look at your review and left a comment too...I think you have a really good point here and I really liked the way you presented it in your review.

Thanks. I plan on doing a continuing 3rd review too, as things have changed since I wrote the last one.

Take a completely new approach Kayla. The goal here is knowledge improvement!

I'm trying to improve...slowly but surely I will succeed! lol. :)

Thanks!

Great question and I look forward to the answers that you recieve on this one

The only thing I can think of is that you can add a video to your custom signup link https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/share/links

Good idea! Maybe I shouldn't comment since I don't have the answer..but I would like to also know the answer. Thanks!

Hey Kayla,

That would be a great idea but as far as I know you can only add a link to a YouTube hosted video. The only video you can upload here at WA is for training purposes.

Hope this helps you.

That's what I thought. But maybe being able to link to a private YouTube video would still be a nice touch...we'll see.

Thanks!

This question was posed in the live chat the other day and I'm curious to see what other people suggest.

It is sometimes difficult to keep writing posts on one website so adding another website will double your workload. I would advise you not to over reach yourself as it can lead to burnout and frustration. If you can afford to pay someone to write some articles for you or take on some of the workload then that is fine. If not just remember the tortoise and the hare. Slow and steady does win the race. All the best to you Margaret

Thanks!
I know slow and steady...sometimes it's just the waiting to see the payoff...
But I'm hanging in there. :)

It does all take time. You need to build trust otherwise people won't buy what you are selling.

Hello KD,
I am only 1 month in and I feel your pain! I have two sites, with one of those sites being my domain, and they keep me very busy. I am working both along with the training. There is a ton to do, but if you are getting 57 posts done, you are doing amazing!!
I think you need to do what your are comfortable with for yourself. I mainly focus on the one site which is tied to my domain and work on the other when I am caught up. This may or may not work for you. It's your business, so really its up to you and what you want to focus on.
Best wishes to you,
Valerie

Thanks Valerie! Yes, this is all still relatively new (I'm almost 3 months in, lol) It is a game of trial and error most days - but yes, I really need to find my footing and decide what I can 'keep up with' in the long run. ;)

good post

I started with 2 websites from the very beginning. I did it because I had 2 different approaches and wanted to see which one would be better. Also I followed the step-by-step trainings on both at the same time which gave me more practice/homework and that way I retained it better. It is taking me a little longer to complete the training this way but I feel I am learning better.

We have 31 Customers, all with websites plus about 18 of our own. We are moving to embrace 2 new Niches in September.

BUT we are not a 1 man operation.

So you build websites for clients and THEY manage them? Am I correct in thinking that?

No clients rarely have the expertise to manage websites properly. At best they are beginners. Their business is their business. Our business is websites and information technology. We are all degreed and certified.

Jay has a video that mentions having more than one website at a time and in that video he does not recommend it. Why? Because every time you start a new web site, you are starting from scratch, with content, with getting ranked on the search engines and as you pointed out, it takes a lot of time.

That being said, I know Kyle has more than one web site, at least that is what it appears as you go through the training.

Something that I read somewhere was that some affiliate marketers have more than one website, sometime several, but their websites stay relatively focused on their niche.

For me, I have a website that promotes WA that I've done as I've gone through the Affiliate Bootcamp and I have one that I've set up for my own personal niche.

I think the decision to have multiple sites just depends on your goals.

All the best!

Sorry, I tried to go back and find which video I saw that in, but I can't find it. It was kind of a sidebar conversation and not the actual title of the video.

Thanks. I will have to sift through them to find that conversation. I appreciate the guidance!

I'm working on 2 at a time right now. My focus is on the first one, so I would say I spend 70% of my time on that one and 30% on my second one.
I want to focus to be on the one that's getting some activity, but I slowly want to get the other one up to speed.
The thing is they are both promoting the same thing but in different ways. But when I write a new page or post, while the thoughts are in my head I write one for each but always separate since I don't want them to be exactly the same.
Not sure if that helps, but its what I do.
All my best to your success,
Doug

Thanks. That's what I want to do. I have one promoting WA, but I want to start one in another niche.

That gives me a good idea of how to go about it.

Thanks!
