Surprise!
It's my mum's birthday today, and we've been planning a bit of a surprise for her.
Actually, I haven't been well over the past week, and Mum thinks I'm home tucked up in bed. But.... I'm really on my way to Hamilton to surprise her later this evening.
The weather is terrible so the first flight out of Westport into Wellington (notoriously windy) was a little hair raising... oh and my carefully straightened hair is now a frizzy mess from being doused by rain running across the tarmac.
I've had a bit of a wait here in Wellington for my connecting flight, which gave me a chance to finish off a blog post... and do some retail therapy :)
My best friend is collecting me from the airport and it will be awesome to hang out with her until dinner time when my brother and I will arrive unannounced at the restaurant to surprise Mum.
I can't wait to see her face. (It might look a bit like this!)
Tomorrow we've got an outing planned where I finally get to meet my husbands grandson
(I guess that makes me a Nana, but I'm far to young hahahaha). He's about 4 months old and it's going to be so fantastic to finally meet the little fella.
So it's a few R&R days planned... and some time away from the computer.
I still plan to get content written for my bootcamp site; that way I'm not completely dropping the ball on the Super Wealthy Affiliate Challenge.
But that's the beauty of this business.
It doesn't matter where you are, you can still work on your business remotely and your business still works for you... 24/7
Love my job <3
All the best, Cheers, Karen

Have a great trip and love-filled week ahead. My wife has 2 granddaughters and thus I have 2 step-grandchildren. Twins age 5 so we were grandparents at 38. Still haven't met them though.
I can’t quite wrap my head around being a grandma but step grandma doesn’t have the same ring to it ....
Of course, it sounds like we are stepping on the children but still, we do babysitting without blinking an eye.
I will. I’m catching up with some former work mates.... they are curious as to what my life looks like these days.
Have a great time with your mom and enjoy a little down time. Isn't it often during breaks when the best ideas and strategies pop up? :) Enjoy!

Thanks Sandy, yes they are. Considering a few years ago we weren’t sure how long she’d be with us. Life and family is a gift.
