I also had BackWpUp working, but last month it did not perform the automatic backup to Dropbox and I found out that part of the reason was that WA support had disabled CRON jobs on my account; however, once they reenabled them (with a warning that BackWpUp stores temp files on the WA server, so I'd need to ensure to clean them up after each backup), I was still getting an error.
I eventually switched over to UpdraftPlus and have my backups going to Google Drive.
Joe,
I'm glad that you were able to resolve your issue.
I'm curious to know how you resolved it and if you are using BackWpUp to store your backups to Dropbox. As mentioned above, I was unable to resolve the issue with BackWpUp, though I liked the plugin and prefered using Dropbox to Google Drive.
Hi Patrick. BackWpUp and Dropbox has worked flawlessly for me for over 7 months on multiple websites until yesterday. I found a plugin I recently installed to be causing the problem. It's all fine now.
Joe
Joe, what was the plugin that caused the problem? I am now having this issue after adding a few plugins.
Hey Ade! My problem turned out to be a conflicting plugin ... maybe the same reason! Good luck...
just installed and it works fine, make sure your backup folder has the right permissions
Thanks Wayne. It's been working for 7 months. From the site I get the error I did a backup a few days ago. All is good with DropBox. It's working on other sites ... so I am stuck with how to fix this issue...

Can anyone recommend a good plugin to import Amazon products into your website? I found a few, however, they are not compatible with WA Hosting because of the limit that is impose
@Justintrump here on WA Did a great article on an Amazon plugin I've been using myself. If you have any questions just ask him. He is pretty good at getting back to people.
http://theceoroad.com/how-to-make-more-money-from-your-amazon-affiliate-links
I didn't know if you already found a good one or not yet or even heard of EasyAzon but it truly is a great plug in and I found it threw him. His articles are also very informative.
Hello Joe,
Maybe you could try Prosociate 2.0 plugin. Very cool plugin actually. It's the same owner for WP Zon Builder & much more powerful that that.
If you don't know it yet, pls see my ideas below. If you know it already, pls just ignore my message.
I've just installed it in my test site to see how it works. I installed with WA hosting but need to contact support for unlocking some functions. WA hosting server will not allow fetching data from third party site.
I installed it & it works good (after getting support from WA hosting). For some reasons, the product picture does not show up.
I also installed it in my Bluehost account & it works better. Everything works extremely well.
We need to have Woocommerce plugin also. It's integrated with Prosociate 2.0 plugin.
Just some thoughts flowing in my mind & I just type it out. Maybe you find it hard to understand at some point :).
Best of luck! Vuong
Hey Vuong thanks for the reply! I did purchase Prosociate 2 and installed with WooCommerce. This all looked amazing as it was just what I was looking for! But then I ran into the same thing you did with the product images.
I contacted Support regarding increasing the php memory limit and here is what they told me:
"WA does not allow custom PHP setting and changing PHP limits on client request.
WA blocks all outgoing connections to remote servers by default, and we do not allow plugin/them that require time to time outgoing connections, Auto site builders, plugins which fetch/scrape data from other sites.
It seems that your plugin imports/bulk imports products, synchronizes so it cannot be allowed as per our policy."
So this just won't work with WA hosting...
Oh...thanks for sharing your case.
Without product images showed up, it's USELESS to use with WA hosting. Maybe I will send feedback to Kyle regarding this issue.
Otherwise, WA hosting features in here is not useful at all: unable to customize features, unable to...
I purchased Prosociate 2.0 for three main reasons:
1. Recommended from Mike Johnson, the "no BS" & trusted Internet marketer. Every product he recommends, I buy. He stands strong behind this product.
2. From the same owner of WP Zon Builder.
3. It works really well when fetching Amazon products & almost everything can be automated.
Thanks Vuong! Yes, it would be great if WA hosting would accommodate automation plugins! Especially as it applies to Affiliate Marketing!
Cheers my friend,
~Joe
I used Amazon widget supplied by Amazon and they worked just fine. You can also link Amazon link to your post directly, no need for additional plugins
Thanks Gordi! My problem is I am not interested in Widget ads ... I am looking to populate a "Marketplace" page with 100+ ads. Was hoping this could be done with a little automation!
Why not just use Amazon Widgits? They work very well and should be not be a problem with WA as Amazon hosts them. If you take a look at one of my pages, you will see I added Amazon books using their widgits. Other products would be the same. They are on the right side of this page http://www.dsconrad.com/genealogy/the-planters.html
No problem, Joe. If you are an Amazon affiliate, the widgets are available to you. Choose a product and they will give you the code. Simply paste that code where you want the ad to show. Remember that it will have to be uploaded and live in order to show the advertised product properly. Regards
Thanks Dave. Problem is I am not looking for a widget ad. I'm looking to do a "Marketplace" page with 100+ products for a specific niche...
Joe
You could use the amazon shop itself, customize to your website. Take a look at my amazon shops here:
Masterchefboutique.com
Im not sure what you are looking for exactly, but if you have an affiliate account established with amazon already, you should be able to get links for products of your choosing, then insert them manually into your posts/pages. Does that help?
I would have thought so. Craig (labman) just informed me that my Amazon ads are coming up blank on his computer and I set them up exactly as I have learned here and from Amazon.
I have been told that his ad blocker keeps them from appearing.
Don - www.timberghostlabs.com tell if they do for you.
I watched the video Craig sent me and I responded. Just waiting for another bit of info.
Hey Don ... nice site. Your Title needs to be darker though.
I see your ads OK on Safari...
Joe
Thanks. I've been told more and more about the color. Guess majority rules. I will change it.
Thank you!
I see the Leash and an e-collar with the ad blocker. Without it, I see two additional ones for the Tritronics and Sport Dog collar.
Figures...30' training lead and e-collar are not from Amazon.
Doesn't matter now. I think I have to start all over. Gonna give it a rest and see if Kyle or wordpress get back to me.
Of the few I have tried, none really worked and some even hurt the rankings of my site. I would avoid them.
Try using the techniques I outline here. https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/amazon-links-adding-and-editing-your-amazon-links
Thanks Craig for a good honest answer! I will most definitely review your training ... actually I should have searched for that first before asking!

Does anyone here have any experience with paid Solo Ads? I'd be interested to hear about your experiences. Feel free to PM me if you wish.
Thanks all!
~Joe
Hi KD,
I did my first solo ad a few weeks ago, and I would say that it was fairly successful. Paid $70 for 200 guaranteed clicks. Got about 220 clicks, 160 subscribers to my email list, and 5 or 6 sales totaling $54.80. So all-in-all, I only paid $15 for 160 subscribers which I still have, and can market to any time. I thought that was pretty good...
That's excellent! Congrats! Would you mind sharing the site for the solo ad provider? (PM me). Many thanks.
~Joe
Hi Joe, As in all things there are good and bad. I've not used any in a while as I have not been marketing, but heres a few things to consider. First off need to check that the list is targeted as close as possible towards your niche. Second off there are 4 types of payment methods.
Fixed price, mails to their list for a fixed price, try to establish at least their "open rate".
Pay per Open, you pay a fixed amount for each opened email.
Pay Per Click, you pay a fixed amount for each click on your ad in the email.
Pay per Conversion, you pay a fixed amount for each person that takes action and buys, subscribes, goes to your website, whatever action it was agreed upon.
Of course, a lot of what is going to happen is going to depend on how well your ad is written.
I've been thinking about this myself for when I get things rolling and last I've checked PPC can run from about 0.30 to 0.70 per click.
Try to get recommendations or reviews on advertisers as there are some good ones, and others that are rotten. Best wishes on your endeavors.
There was a time when solos worked well, I think they have run the course. I used them alot at one time but now see you really no results I'd stay away from fiverr and any "cheap" ,ad places like that, there a waste of $ in my opinion..
There is one place where you are almost 100% sure to get your moneys worth working with solos try safe swaps great program for list building
I do recall somebody asking the same question a few months ago so it may be worth doing a search to see if the question got any answers. I usually do a Google search now if I want answers to similar questions as most people on here seem to be relative beginners who do not have any experience with this sort of thing and it is difficult to get answers to anything slightly more advanced

Cathy for me it does i deactivated Akismet and use this instead. It is simply just a matter to activate and make some setting and that's it. You can still use Akismet with it I did for a while had no problems but if you are happy with Akismet and don't have any issue no need to change.
This seems to be the new politics of Askimet. Basically, yes we have commercials websites. So thats why I'm using Anti Spam Bee plugin.
Yes Giludi I am using the same as you as a result of Askimet's Action. The Anti Spam Bee works well since I installed it I have had 4 blocked messages all of which were spam trying to get the back links the wrong way its works and works well.
Giludi, did you deactivate Akismet then activated Anti spam Bee? I've never been able to fully activate Akismet, it keeps telling me that the email is already activated, but I never got the api code.
Create an new email address and then register it for Akismet if you cannot get out any other way.
Hey Mark - you can do it without creating a new email address! I just did it. See the link from bbraunj (Josh) below!
Apparently, from what I understand, it means that your site is no longer a personal site. It's moved on into their definition of a commercial site.
Try this: http://wpfreesetup.com/how-to-fix-akismet-error-code-10003/
I think we understand that. What Joe it's asking is why, given that he is only getting 2-3 hits a day.
However the solution is a valid one Joe, just create a new Akismet account. If at the moment you are not getting a lot of traffic I wouldn't even bother. Just delete any spam whenever you log in.
Hey Josh that link is great! You solved my problem! Suggest all to bookmark that link ... for when your time comes!
Joe
Actually Josh you are correct with what you said.
It has nothing to do with how many hits you get.
You could be getting 2-3 hits a day or 400-500 hits the error message is relating to the site being a commercial site and has nothing to do with how many hits you get.
This was happening to me recently.
I have two site one I am currently using the other I have not even created any pages is it nowhere near ready.
All I did was to use the same Key for both sites just like every one else.
They came back to me and stated these are commercial sites and need to be upgraded to Enterprise which i would have to pay them money for.
As the the site that was not being use it was regard as commercial because I used the same key.
To remedy this which would only be temporary I would need to use a new and separate key.
But the moment you are promoting anything it is considered a commercial site.
That is basically everyone here so it is a matter of time before more members get this message I and JD6Pao get.
Great work Josh in finding the answer even greater that you are still at school and willing your fellow member who may be (lets just say slightly older folk than you).
It is great to see our youth helping and working along side other members. it goes to show how well we can all work together as a team regardless of age.
Keep up the great work Josh . We need more people like you.
Take care and be well,
Andre
Interesting. I wonder if this is a deliberate ploy on the part on Akismet then? I'm curious that I have had hundreds of spam comments but have never had the error message.
The obvious thing to do with any plugin that is not performing as it should is to uninstall then reinstall. If that doesn't work it is usually because it is conflicting with something else, or it's just a plain bad app but the answer with anything that is asking you to pay is always to go get another free copy.
Thanks for your reply Mark. Yes, I also installed for free 6 months ago. Today I receive this message. Apparently they want me to pay now!

Hi, Joe.-Whatever a 'site' is called or styled membership or other, when it comes down to the bottom line, generally, like at WA, the sponsor gives you some rather mundane cookie cutter Sites ...which he gives everybody else ...nothing specific that I know to whatever want, if its FREE ...no hurt there ...but if you have to "join" and pay a fee or Affiliate Fee ...I would stick with WA and just promote the night light out of it. At least at WA you get a whole lot of training, mentoring and WA community support, others are not so generous and you are highly likely to be called AM, PM and early NIght by that expert MENTOR or COACH who for something between $600 and $1,800 will make you a "millionaire in 27 days or leas". Once the FEE is transferred, if any, you'll surprised how rare personal calls become and all the audios you are referred to are simply "self-agrandizing" talk by the speaker on and about his greatness ...but very little, if any, actual needy gritty "how-to" and coaching. Just be aware, Joe and stick with any that might be 'similar' in concept and value as WA. Take care my good friend!
Hey Joe, I have a membership site. Just like any other it has to be promoted. I have some members and its building. Here it is if you want to look at it http://scriptwarehouse.info. PM me if you have any questions.
Well, WA is a membership site---talk to them---I think that a membership site must offer a lot of value and require a lot of know how to to keep it up to date ---running right. Really --ask Kyle or Carson of all of the things you must know. Just the servers --and as it grows what it takes to maintain it.
Coach Ed
I would have thought it would be difficult these days, particularly to get started, with so many people now used to free sites such as Facebook and Twitter. I would imagine that a paid site would probably have to be a highly specialist niche site but people just expect 'free' these days.
Just my thoughts, I could be completely wrong of course.
I have no experience of this, but thought this might be of some help. there is an answer from Daniel to the same question you ask.
https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/website-development-programming/how-to-add-memberships-to-my-website
I have a few Paid member sites promoted. I'm Pretty new and my answer today is bad.
No takers so far. But my is starting to pick up traction. I am doing this paid site for a guy a CNBC for trade in free membership to his $100/month trading site that I belong to.
I would like a free membership but I need to show them some action.
That's my story as of today.
