I would suggest that you do your training it’s really the best way to go

You need to set it as hyperlink, the icon is a chain on the editor bar.
Select with your cursor the entire link, cut it, write a normal text and again select it, choose hyperlink and paste your link inside the field.

You can do it while creating your content with Site Content or directly in the Dashboard editor.
I like many other people have found that the more you use Site Content the more you like it. The selection of images, the spelling and grammar checker, and on and on.
This is before you publish of course.
After you publish, you'll be using the Dashboard.
